Wendy's — Restaurant in Clovis

Good easy parking access. Clean dining room tables, chairs and flooring. Very cold unheated or slightly heated atmosphere for being comfortable enough to sit down and eat a meal inside. Only one outlet at one table only for charging a phone, tablet, or laptop. Friendly, courteous helpful cashier's. Free Wi-Fi easy to connect to. Clean unlocked assessible women's washroom with regular and disabled locking privacy stalls. Contactless soap and sink water. Only difficulty was that one of the two counter cashier stations was open, but it had a non-working chip reader, so cash was the only inside payment option. Payment could have been made by card in the Drive-Through. The distance between the Drive-Through payment window and the drive-through pickup window was very short, so that if a much larger longer vehicle would be at the payment window, the customer behind it could still not reach the payment window by a few feet, which would slow down the vehicle queue throughput process if every other vehicle were too long. It's a minor thing, but for those in a hurry, it could be a patience builder. Nice appearing restaurant inside and out. I like this restaurant ⭐⭐⭐⭐ and would have given it five stars, if only it were warmer, if the inside counter chip reader would have worked, and if the drive-through distance between payment and pickup windows were further apart so that the customers behind me would not honk at me to move up further when I could not move up at all without running into the car right in front of me. This building design is different than some of the other Wendy's restaurants, because some decades ago, this was a "Grandma's restaurant" first. This one local Wendy's made the most it could have out of this already...

This Wendy's location has pretty friendly staff and orders are usually processed accurately and quickly when the drive through window is not particularly busy. During busy periods however, all bets are off.

With our visit today, we arrived at the drive through just after 11:00, which is about an hour later than we normally make Wendy's runs. There were 5 cars ahead of us upon arrival. After some delay with the car currently at the ordering station, the vehicles were processed through reasonably quickly.

After placing an order for two of about 5 items, two of which were special requests, we were at the pick up window for about 3 minutes when the clerk asked us to pull into a curbside pick up space. (The customer behind us was also directed to pull into a curbside pick up area).

After waiting for an additional 5 minutes, our order had not been brought to our vehicle, so I called the store to check on our order. It was obvious from the response of the staff person who answered that they were very busy. Our order was brought to our vehicle within two additional minutes. But, when we arrived home, we realized our order was missing an item, even after waiting for our order for several...

Man, let me first day. I enjoy eating LUNCH at Wendy’s on Shaw in Clovis. The restaurant is always clean, workers smile and food always tastes fresh, anytime after 7:30pm all hell breaks loose I guess. The reason I’m writing this review is about a month ago I stopped by, made my regular online order, baconator combo, baconator fries and a large frosty. Went home, at the food, go to bed, wake up at 4am puking my guts out, and all I taste is last nights Wendy’s. I think I was throwing up for about 4-5 hours just dry heaving. So I stayed away for about a month, finally ordered again, went to pick up after 7:30pm. Restaurant hella dirty, food not ready in time, frosty not filled up more than 2/3s, baconator fries hella soggy and like warm for some reason, even the cheese too, the burger all flat, meat looks like chili meat hella dry. Ate it anyways because I was starving and next thing you know 4:45 am woke up puking and just messed up for another 4-5 hours. I do the intermittent fasting and so this was all I had eaten in that 24 hours period and it was bad. I will never eat at this Wendy’s again...
