Myself and a group of friends went to the ihop after bowling a tournament. We walked in and was asked how many people were in our party and then the employee (manager) said okay. We were thinking she went to get a table ready. That was not the case. There was maybe on other group of people in the there. A few people from our group went to sit at a large table away from the other group that was there and an employee was rude with one of my friends and my friend asked if there was a Waffle House bear and the employee responded “yep down the street” we a disrespectful tone. We left and then I thought it was a learning lesson and that the manager and employee should be educated. Of course I walked back in and there was no one and so I had to call the restaurant to get someone to come to the front and I asked to speak with a manager. The employee that answered the phone stated she was the manager, which was not true. When the manager came out, I explained to her my concern about how we as customers were not kept updated, how wee were spoken to rudely, how we were mislead. I also informed the manager in my job no matter how rude a customer is to me, I can not return that same rude energy to the customer, I still must remain polite and professional no matter what. I also left her know if she would have just let us know they were short staffed and that they were bagging door dash orders and they needed a little time so that we were not all standing in their front door area that would have been the thing to do and we Seoul’s of her more then understanding. Read moreI have repeatedly tried to enjoy this restaurant. My family (of 4) have been here at least 6 times in the past 2 years.
Today was the end of my attempts at patience.
I don’t mind waiting for a table, honestly you get faster and more fresh food when a restaurant is busy. The food was not the problem.
I’m sure my food would have been delicious if it were warm, or even kind of warm. When the dollop of butter doesn’t melt on your pancakes, and French toast, it’s a pretty good indicator that it shouldn’t be placed in front of a consumer expecting a hot breakfast.
Eggs cold, pancakes cold, chicken and waffles cold, French toast cold, coffee burnt. Sounds delicious doesn’t it!?
Perhaps if my server wasn’t too busy chatting with friends at the next table and playing grab-ass with a fellow male server, maybe my food would have been delivered as the kitchen intended.....consumable.
The server laid my check on our table and walked away. No instruction as to what to do with it, so I took it to the hostess stand, to pay. The young girl working told me I had to go back and give it to my server to ring out......I asked for a manager, and refused to make the trek back to my table. She gladly accepted my payment and apologized....seemed like a familiar situation for her.

The lady sat us down and me and my girlfriend got caught up in talking and without noticing 30 mins went by with no one taking our order. We wasnt even mad about it, we was having a good day till we left. So I informed a server and she took our order. The food got to our table I ate my bacon and biscuits and gravy didnt eat my eggs there were burnt and so much grease they was almost water. And girlfriend didnt even eat her omelette (just like my eggs was burnt and just nasty). I told to the server we would pay for what we ate. She was like okay and brought out the manager. I told her the same thing, and we just wanted the check so we could leave. I also informed her that we waiting for 30 minutes before being served (even though it was dead). But I wasn't mad because we was just talking having a good time. the manager then proceeds to get an attitude with us because we waited that long before getting served as if it was our job to find the server to get our order taken.
