Logan's Roadhouse — Restaurant in Colerain Township

My family and I decided to visit our local Logan’s after a long day at an amusement park. I visited Logan’s for the first time about 3 or 4 months ago and I really enjoyed the food and the staff. Since then I have placed carry out and DoorDash orders on a regular basis. So when my family asked for suggestions on where to eat, Logan’s was my first choice.

When we arrived, there were other people waiting and we were told it would be a 30 minute wait. Almost immediately, that time was changed to 45 minutes – not sure why the change but we decided to wait. In our party, there were 5 adults, 1 teenager and a 2 year old baby. Four of us adults decided to sit at the bar while the adult male, teenager and baby decided to wait in their car. The waitress was very accommodating and she asked us if we wanted to order and eat at the bar. We informed her that we had a baby with us so we will wait to order food when we are seated at a table. We ordered drinks and watched TV and conversed. As we were looking around, we noticed NUMEROUS tables that were empty, including one that was right behind us that could had accommodated all 7 of us. We just chalked it up to maybe the restaurant was under staffed. About 5 minutes later, a man and his son sat at the bar as well. They were asked the same question of eating at the bar and they accepted. They were brought rolls and their drinks, and asked what they wanted to order.

About 30 minutes go by and we are done with our drinks. The man and his son received their food order and is well into eating their food. Around the same time, the waitress that is presumably working the area where we were to be seated approaches and says, “Sorry its taking longer to seat you guys, the people at your table decided to vlog!” I said ok, it hasn’t been the full 45 minutes we were told, but then I thought – is that the ONLY TABLE that is available to us? If someone left ANOTHER table, we would we still not be seated???

Another 15 minutes goes by and the waitress at the bar then decided to ask us if we wanted rolls. We were under the impression that since we were not eating at the bar that we didn’t have access to ANY food. Of course we accepted and I went to go get the adult male, teenager and baby from the car, thinking AT LAST we are going to be seated. The man and son had finished their meals and had left so it was just our family and two other people that were just drinking.

ANOTHER 15 MINUTES GOES BY and STILL WE ARE NOT SEATED. I told my family I’m giving it just 5 more minutes and then we are leaving. As soon as I said that, the waitress from the other area approached us and also said it would be 5 more minutes. I counted down the minutes and at exactly 5 minutes, I decided to pack up the family to leave. The waitress at the bar apologized but that was about it.

I am HIGHLY disappointed at the non-service that we received. I don’t know if you can imagine 5 adults, a TEENAGER and a BABY after a long day at an amusement park, the HUNGER that we all were experiencing at the time. The eldest adult was so tired after the ordeal that she didn’t even want to visit anywhere else. We arrived and we're seated about 5ish for an anniversary dinner for my in-laws.. They brought us our drinks .Then disappeared . Then after 25 minutes a waitress came over and started taking our order ...Right in the middle of that the manager came up and moved our waitress to another table ( a table that had been seated AFTER us ).So we waited another 10 minutes till another waitress came and said "let me clock in and ill be right with you". So she leaves and comes back a few minutes later and took our order ..While our food was being prepared the manager came out and apologized and said she would check back in with us for the rest of our visit ..Never saw the manager again.. Food came out .... The burger my wife got was dry ..The sliders I got were overcooked and dry (and they didn't put the pickles on it) My father in-law asked for well done pork chops and got them cooked to medium ..He also asked for white gravy and they gave him mayonnaise that he dumped all over his mashed potatoes and ruined them .. the other 3 at the table had no issues with the food . Then it came time for the check ..All 3 couples ( separate checks) had coupons . They had problems with the coupons ( from the Logan's app) That took another 25 minutes to fix .. We literally spent less time actually eating than anything else that happened during our visit ... Maybe it was a bad day or they were short staffed..but it was one of the worst experiences we have ever had at a restaurant.. On a side note ...The waitress that finally waited on us was awesome ... I tried to take my daughter out for her 25th birthday and the first waitress was kind of rude and pushy. So, after she rushed to take our order she traded waitresses in which I was not upset that they did that. It was rude , but not upset. So fast forward to our food. Me and my kids were hungry after being at school and work all day. We get our food. The food was rushed and horrible. Sweet potato was burned, steak not good, I had a salad and baked potato. The potato was not done at all. They only had to squeeze it and see if it was done and it was not. Shrimp not seasoned just plain with no flavor. Steak no flavor either. The birthday girl was already thrown off by the vibe and rudeness of the first waitress. She lost her appetite steak was cooked too long and it was rubber. Well this place is trash with trash service this evening and the food was trash only a 0 out of 10 but on here you have to score a 1 star. I spent over a hundred dollars for food that was rushed and overpriced for the taste. I lost my appetite so I didn't order anything else. I did get credit for the main meal that I gave back because I could not eat it. But, guess what they charged me for the salad that should have not been charged due to .y inconvenience and they charged me 4$ for it.
