I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share this experience because it was so uncomfortable and mishandled. To start with the positives: the food here is actually very good. My beef pho had a rich, flavorful broth and fresh ingredients. I was genuinely enjoying the meal, until I noticed a long strand of hair in the soup.
I understand that mistakes can happen in any restaurant, and I wasn’t upset at that point. I politely returned the dish and expected it to be quietly replaced, as any responsible establishment would do. However, what happened next was both surprising and disappointing.
A woman from the kitchen brought out a new bowl of pho and stood beside me at the table. She told me to “check” the soup. I was confused and asked, “Check what?” She replied, very matter-of-factly, “Check if there’s still hair in it.” I was shocked. Not only was it awkward to have someone stand over me while I was supposed to examine the food, but the way she said it made it feel like the responsibility was on me to ensure their food was clean. At that point, I completely lost my appetite.
To make matters worse, the replacement pho was noticeably smaller than the original, about half the portion. It felt like an afterthought. I didn’t even touch it. I ended up leaving the restaurant, regretting that I didn’t simply ask for a full refund.
What’s most frustrating is not the hair itself. It happens. It’s how the situation was handled. A restaurant should take ownership of the food they serve, especially when there’s a hygiene issue involved. Customers should never be put in a position where they’re made to feel uncomfortable or at fault for something that’s clearly the kitchen’s responsibility.
Sadly, despite the good food, I won’t be returning. I hope this review encourages the management to reflect on how they handle customer concerns and train their staff to respond with more...
Read moreIt took an hour for our food to sporadically come out and the food itself was not worth that in the slightest.
We ordered chicken pho, grilled pork, and cold cut, and com tam. The pho came out first but the chicken in the pho was bland and dry. Then a side of fried rice came out that one was offered to two other tables before it was finally give to us and the rice was bland and tasted bad. 20 minutes later the cold cut came out and the bread to fillings ratio was really sad and the sandwich itself was mid.. Then the com tam came out it was the thinnest pork cut I’ve seen with 3 tomato’s for no reason.. then we asked multiple times for the grilled pork bahn mi and when we finally got it, about 25 minutes after receiving our last item, and the bahn mi was again mostly bread, the pork tasted terrible, and despite taking minimum 45 minutes it was cold like they toasted it hours ago and let it sit.
All in all I do not recommend this place, don’t go here if you want your food on time and want to spend insane prices on food that is not worth it in the slightest. I can get better versions of all of these dishes at my local Asian market or even made at home. Don’t waste your...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I came here two days before and loved the food. It is a small spot and very cute inside. The food was pretty good. We got the beef pho, bah mi, and coffee. We decided to come back today and were excited to enjoy a small restaurant again. This time was horrible. We got no waters, the coffees were only filled halfway even after being filled to the brim with ice, and they gave both of us the wrong orders. My pho came out as chicken and when they corrected it, the pho came out with different noodles and half the meat I got two days prior. My boyfriend’s bah mi came out completely wrong and when he asked for the one that was pork only they brought out bread and pork, no veggies or anything else. When telling them about our concerns the gentleman told us they just got new owners and they just changed the noodles and sandwich today. We aren’t the type of people to be upset but after four separate mistakes and our coffees not even being filled, we just asked to pay for our appetizers and coffees. We are really disappointed as we thought we found a new pho spot to enjoy. I wouldn’t recommend under...
