My friends and I had an exceptional experience at outback. Recently they had to endure the sudden loss of a loved one and were very down and out on there luck. I thought that a very nice lunch and just simply a bit of time to reflect on the life changing events would be a kind jester.I called outback and asked them if there was a bit more of a quiet area for us three to have lunch due to the circumstances and he offered there private room to us even though it was supposed to be for at least twelve people. He told me that 2pm was a bit of a slow time of day so they would make it work considering the out of the ordinary reasoning for lunch that day. We arrived right on time and were greeted at the front with very polite and respectful staff with a smile and a very prompt how may I help you sir. I told the gentleman that we had a reservation for three and he took us straight to our table and quick to ad if there's anything at all you need please let us know. The manager herself came to our table and told us the same thing and even closed the door for us so we could have some peace and quiet. The food was absolutely fantastic like always and the staff were even better from the greeting at the front to the waiter being polite detailed and prompt with service to even to the most important part the apology given to my dear friends for the loss of there loved one. I really can't say thank you enough to outback for there kind words and hospitality that day to such deserving people in a time of need. I know that this post is very long but I hope that people read this and see that in times of need you are never alone that there is always someone to help out even though it may come from the most unexpected places. Thank you again to outback and there amazing staff I would give ten stars but...
Read moreAfter 20 years, I felt it was time for an update! This chain used to be one of my favorite spots for a night out, but things have shifted a bit. Of course, menus change over time, and I think a lot of it comes down to the cooks behind the scenes.
The atmosphere is just as I remember—dim and cozy, which can feel romantic or a little dank, depending on how you see it. It wasn’t overly crowded, which is a nice plus for a Friday night, and we snagged a comfy booth in the bar area.
To be honest, my food choices were pretty average this time around, so I didn’t feel the need to comment on everything. The wings were my fallback option, and they hit the spot. A surprise highlight, though, was the dessert! It was a delightful whipped chocolate treat topped with caramel and goodies. Such a sweet way to end the meal!
For those of you looking for a drink called the Wallaby Darned or the Wallaby Darn Down Under, you might want to note that it’s not served in a frozen beer mug anymore, and it doesn’t have that fresh peach and champagne flavor like I remember. It seems like there might have been some changes since my last two visits, and it could be related to who's in the kitchen or behind the bar.
I’m also curious if some of the preparation choices reflect a venue preference. The house salad is still served in a chilled bowl, which is nice, but the croutons aren't made in-house anymore. If you love your dressing, I recommend asking for it on the side. Otherwise, you might find your salad a little drenched!
On a brighter note, I want to give a shoutout to the staff! Everyone was super courteous and helpful, and management seemed genuinely eager to ensure a good...
Read moreMy husband and I rarely get to have a night to ourselves. I was craving the onion appetizer, so we decided to go to Outback. What a disappointment. We were immediately seated, but then sat there for a good 7 minutes (at least) before someone asked if we had been helped. The waitress that took our drink order wasn’t actually our waitress. When our waitress did finally come over, she had some excuse about being busy and helping in the back area. She asked if we wanted more bread, but we actually didn’t get bread in the first place. She had some complaint about the other waitress. She did bring some chocolate sauce with our bread which was actually pretty good. The bar tender brought our appetizer. We didn’t get plates for the bread or appetizer. I asked for no bacon on my salad, but then got a salad full of bacon. The meal was mediocre. Nothing that impressive. I think we maybe saw our waitress just once more throughout the rest of the meal. And that was at the end to explain to us that we had two checks because the other waitress had taken our drink and appetizer request and she couldn’t combine them. The waitress that was ours asked if we could pay both tickets because she didn’t want to bother her boss to combined them. What?! I went to the women’s restroom before leaving and the floor was soaking wet. It looked like one of the toilets was leaking at the base. Who knows for how long, but that’s “used” water. It was so disgusting. What a disappointing night for one of our rare date nights. I don’t think I’ll go back there again...
