Should have left when the guy sitting outside the truck finally looked up from his phone to acknowledge a customer's presence with a bothered look. Things went downhill from there when he informed me it would take 45 minutes to make me kebobs rather than anything else on the menu which would only take 5 minutes. But as I had been there a few days prior with a colleague and had received the very same order from a more gregarious 'server', have to use the term loosely as its better than a dozen other unkind nouns that I would be justified using, in under 20 minutes. Still the kebobs I had the previous time were delicious and I was hoping for a repeat performance. Alas, it sas not to be. After telling me I couldn't have fries instead of rice and charging me for both when I insisted, I then waited the 45 minutes at O'Bannon's where a much kinder Ashley was a great bartender! Kudos to you and the great Half & Half Ashley!!
It was no surprise when I returned that he was back on his cell phone sitting again in front of the truck and welcomed me with the now familiar look of disdain. My food, the thing I hoped would make up for the very lousy custmer service? Well, kebabs are typically, and previously here, meat chunks not long strips of meat, which the size and shape certainly didn't require the 45 minutes to cook, but the real over the top nonsense was the undercooked fries. Moreover, but again not surprising was the very overspiced meat, which although he knew I had been there recently was seemingly cooked that way punitively.
I hope whoever is in charge of this business, first, isn't this guy, and second will retrain him with an attitude of customer service, not the "Why are you bothering me?" vibe...
Read moreSo to start I had a rough time finding the place, I initially called and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Halil (friend in Arabic) who wasn't so friendly. I can deal with that what irked me was he told me that they were located "behind" Target on Texas Ave. I get there go "behind" the Target and nothing.. So I call again I speak with Halil he insists that they are "behind" Target I ask for better clarification he says "next to restaurant." Thats not ambiguous at all... So I ask again which one he pauses then hangs up in my face. So I drive away about to leave when I see two food trucks one a taco stand and his in the adjacent parking lot right next to Outback Steakhouse.. I'm agitated I let him know that the directions he gave me were very inaccurate he clearly has an attitude was very apathetic and unbothered even the customer behind me was like yeah you're not behind Target.. Halil took my order and went about his business I had to ask him how long it would take as he didn't say anything. He tells me it would be 10 mins. So I wait in the car come back 10 mins later get my food (there's no sauce he says sauce is $1 extra btw I paid 25 bucks for two gyros mind you) get home to eat my food and the meat is cold as ice... Not a great...
Read moreOrdered the beef rice bowl on DoorDash. I say this honestly and from a genuine place that I haven’t had food this bad in a really long time. Half of the fresh ingredients are missing, and all of the ingredients that are here seem canned. No flavor and still liquidy from the can (chickpeas, corn, beans). The meat was very dry and hard to enjoy. The lettuce filled most of the bowl and seemed like cheap prepackaged pre cut lettuce. The pre made falafel also resembled the kind that you buy from the store frozen and put in the oven to heat up. It was the best part of the meal but still really disappointing. This bowl was very disappointing and I can’t finish even half of it, it’s so bad. The sauces taste good. Owner, I’m not sure how your other dishes are or what you may be going through in life, but the quality of the food is terrible and I assume that you are aware of this. I wish you and your family the best and that God may pour into your life and fulfill your heart in Jesus name. I hope this message benefits your life and...
