HORRIBLE FOOD!! Three of us came here for dinner at 6:30 pm tonight (Monday night). This was not our first choice place to eat, but the other restaurant we were going to was closed today, so we decided we'd come here... Once we got past the front door and the jewelry & phone cases on display, our host "pointed" us in the direction of our table, where we sat ourselves. Our server quickly brought us utensils and took our drink order (3 waters). We were off to the buffet to choose our foods from the buffet... WOW! One would think with a dinner buffet price of $15.95 per person that the food would be at least hot and fresh. The food looked, felt, smelled and tasted like it was left over from the lunch buffet! Crab legs were cold and FULL of water, sushi was fishy & slimy, egg rolls were cold and greasy, various chicken choices were sparse and looked like they'd been on the buffet for awhile. Salad bar had white lettuce, crusty & dried out dressings, and a poor selection overall - I decided not to eat salad so I'm not sure how it actually tasted. Dessert bar was no better - the only item that looked remotely appealing was the banana pudding, and it only took one bite to taste the peculiar aftertaste - no further bites were needed. I personally ate 4 green beans (they were cold but tasted OK), one stuffed mushroom (it was cold and bland), 1/2 of a stuffed shrimp (cold and disgusting tasting) - I ate about $3 worth of food total before I gagged. NO ONE even bothered to ask us how the food was, even though it was clear to our server that we had a total of three people and three plates. Server brought the check to our table and cleared our three plates... We paid our tab and told the manager our food was horrible, and HE DID NOT CARE!! He said "It wasn't good this time, huh"? NO offer to discount our bill, or apologize for the poor food. We will NEVER return, and will tell everyone how awful the food is. The BEST part of the dinner was our daughter's fortune (cookie was typical) - "Should have is a favorite phrase for those looking for excuses" - We SHOULD have read the fortune BEFORE we ate at China Buffet as we would have gone somewhere else to eat!! Too bad we can't give it a negative star rating!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR...
Read moreMe and my bestfriend went to eat here for lunch. I eat here every once in a while but on this day, when I say the food was cold, bland/tasteless. Ugh! The waiter came to get her plates and brought back a single ticket to the table without saying a word. My friend then took the ticket up to the front to tell them to split the ticket and that she wasn't paying full price for nasty food. At first my friend was cool, calm, and collected, but then the cashier proceeded to get nasty and said we should have told them to split the ticket, tried to say it wasn't their fault that the food was nasty and cold, that something was wrong with her tastebuds because everyone else was enjoying their food, and because she had 2 plates of food she still had to pay full price...talking about she wasted their food by going back up to the bar to get a second serving. Which she did not - she got 2 plates on her first trip to the bar because she doesn't like for her food to touch (we both got 2 plates on our 1st trip to the bar). Then the cashier got loud when my friend told her she was only paying $3 for her meal, and started ranting about the whole ordeal demanding that my friend pay full price. My friend didn't budge though. The cashier only succeeded in pissing my friend off even more and got loud right back with her and cussed her out. Telling her that she's had a plethora of foreign foods before from all different nationalities including Chinese food and she knows how the food is supposed to taste and be prepared. She let her know that nobody asked us did we want separate tickets, that he didn't say a word when he came and placed the ticket on the table...and just because everybody else was afraid to tell them how nasty their food is doesn't mean that it's good. She explained to her that the general tso chicken was crunchy with mushy dough and the rest of the food was flavorless and cold (which it was). Needless to say, we won't be attending this restaurant again......
Read moreNot sure what happened to this place, but it's gone completely downhill! Food is usually overcooked, sometimes I wonder if it's even fresh. My mother and I went there last Saturday and a lot of the food was COLD! Didn't receive any apology or even a discount. They put her plate in the microwave to heat it up, we even got there when they opened. All of the booths are unleveled, they use napkins to keep it steady....the carpeting has tape on it. It was my favorite restaurant, but will be a while before I go back....if I even decide to.
UPDATE: Decided to give it another try on 12/30/17 for dinner, but regret it....an hour or two after eating I had horrible upper abdominal pain, followed by vomiting and diarrhea soon after. I'm certain it was food poisoning. Think the health department needs to intervene.
ANOTHER UPDATE: On 01/28/18, someone named ''Alex'' started harassing me on FB, due to this complaint on their unofficial FB page...claiming I've never been there, called me a dog, a liar, etc. Not sure if he works there, or is a customer. Even told me ''There's nothing I can do about it.'' Wow, the audacity of these people astounds me. Absolutely NO excuse for being DISRESPECTFUL. Don't expect the woman to care when you complain, to make matters worse...she's the manager. Make sure you eat everything on your plate, or else the manager will cop a bitchy attitude about waste. 🙄👎 We will NOT tolerate such disrespect. She singled us out, that's discrimination. We WON'T be back! I would avoid this restaurant...
