Los Bandidos — Restaurant in Colonial Heights

Absolutely the worst experience ever! So I go to Los Bandidos with coworkers and order my food. I say I don’t want any extras. No pico, no tomatoes, no anything. I even go as far as to say only bring out lettuce and sour cream. My food comes with refried beans inside of the quesadilla. I say unfortunately I can’t eat this with the beans. The waitress rolls her eyes and says “so what do you want? Something else?” After sensing an attitude I say “no thank you can just remove it from my bill.” She then takes it over to her manager and says something and goes away. She continues to give major attitude for the rest of the evening. Then the bill comes and the quesadilla is off the bill great! But a tip…I didn’t feel she deserved and I didn’t tip but I did leave the change from my tab. She brings my coworkers their bill back and demands a tip from both of them. One changes hers to a two dollar tip but the other said absolutely not when your attitude doesn’t deserve one. I told the manager “Edi” who said he’d “talk to her about that” which I seriously doubt that. He then proceeded to ask us to leave because there was a big group waiting to come in. We leave and there is NO ONE waiting. VERY RUDE LOS BANDIDOS! I will NOT give them my services again (I’m sure they could care less) but I will also be contacting BBB because I’m pretty it’s illegal to make a customer pay a tip.There were...

Edit: 3 years ago, this place was going under fast. Now... THEY ARE GREAT! The staff is friendly and the food quality has gone up tremendously. They know what seasonings are now lol. Ask for the homemade hot sauce. It's really spicy! I love spicy food and that hot sauce packs a nice punch. The burn doesn't last long so feel free to use it generously. I don't usually go back and edit any of my reviews, but I've stayed true to trying it out at least once a year to see if it gets better. Since Covid... I've eaten there at least twice a month lmao. It's so good. My recommendation: carnitas or the grill special. You won't regret it, I promise. Sooooo good!

This place has gone way down in every way. 2 people asked us what we wanted to drink and it still took 5 minutes to get our "water". Took another 5 minutes to get stale greasy chips with half filled bowls of sauce, which were actually good. 5 more minutes until our order was taken. Had to ask someone else for fresh chips. 2 minutes later we got another stale bowl of chips. Ordered 2 tacos with rice and charro beans. Asked to add lettuce, cheese, tomato and sour cream. Got sour cream with very little lettuce, no cheese or tomato. Mind you, they charge you to add them. Rice was cold. Charro beans had hard pork pieces and undercooked bacon. The sausage was good.
