Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

Okay my wife and I have visited this Applebee's to have dinner together, I'd say about half a dozen occasions and the last three times we've stopped in for dinner the food has either been overcooked or cold when served. Tonight my wife ordered the honey chicken bacon plate with broccoli and mashed potatoes. I had ordered the three cheese penne pasta with a bread stick. First off we got there at 6:34pm. Now our waitress was very nice and very courteous. She took our order and we started with the chicken won ton tacos. Those came out hot and on time. Now about :20 to :30 minutes has passed now and we still haven't received our entrees yet. Our waitress had paid us a visit to our table to let us know that she was sorry for the tardiness of our dinner. Another :20-:30 has passed now. I'll tell you one thing, when my wife has barely eaten anything all day, she gets very irritated and very mean. So I decided to go speak with the new hostess and find out where our waitress and food were cause we've been waiting for nearly an hour now. This was the hostess first day so she was up front and accompanied by the manager in the blue button up shirt and her trainer. I asked her and she said "I can go find out for you and I'll be right back" I turned and headed towards our booth. I sat down and my wife said she didn't even make it a few steps and turned around. SHE NEVER ATTEMPTED TO GO ASK!!!! Also, what kind of manager and trainer allows (if they didn't tell her to not worry about my concern) this? About :10 minutes go by and our food shows up and my wife's plate was extremely hot and overcooked and served with waffle fries and not with what she had ordered. My plate comes out and it's warm at best and my bread stick was cold and the whole bottom of it was hard as a rock. Overall the food sucked, the manager sucked, the trainer of the new hostess sucked and the overhead music sucked. Our waitress was 2-3 stars at best. And our overall experience was a 1 star visit. This Applebee's has been declining in customer service and in the tastiness of their food over our last 3 visits. So needless to say that will be our last visit to this location, which is very close to where we live. Now we'll have to go to the one on Galley and Academy St. I Hope this review will reach the right management team and that some of the above mentioned issues will get resolved so that other customers will not have a 1 star visit like we had...

This is the second time I've eaten here. Both times the service was sub-par, the food mediocre at best, inedible at worst, and the wait times for both food and the check ridiculous.

The first time my burger was practically raw. After handing it off, our server never bothered to come back to see if the food was ok. After 10 or 15 minutes we were finally able to flag down a manager who replaced my burger with a fully cooked one. Did not make for a good experience, but we chalked it up to a one time event, and came back when we were given a gift card.

The second time we were encouraged to sit at the bar, and decided that would be faster than waiting for a table. Our experience this time was even worse. After we requested a minute to look at the menu, the bar tender/waitress walked away and did not come back to take our order for almost 15 minutes. For a significant period of that time, she leaned against the bar not 10 feet from us and chatted with a friend, completely ignoring all other customers.

When we finally got our food, we were not given ketchup, utensils, napkins, or ever asked if we needed anything else. We actually ended up just getting up and taking some napkins and utensils from an unused table a few feet away. The food here is meh at best. The burgers are more expensive but of no better quality than something you can get at a Village Inn or Denny's.

We ended up leaving a huge tip for our terrible waitress because we used a gift card, and we would rather use the entire card than ever have to come back here. Would not recommend this place for any reason. You'll get a better value at a cheaper place like VI or Denny's, and better service and food at pretty much any other...

Our waiter was condescending, snotty, dismissive and he appeared to be fidgety, quick, unable to stay still as if he possibly was on something. Tried to ask him about the spiciness of a dish and it was as if I was asking too much so he offered to put the sauce on the side and the meal came and it was TERRIBLE ! Just chicken on a bed of onions with some waffle fries. When I asked him if the sauce was super spicy he very rudely said it was spicy and sweet which was less than helpful. He had intentions of asking if we were ready but we were talking and he rolled his eyes and continued on like we were a bother. The very nice girl who brought our food had LONG hair that was not tied back and that is not sanitary in my groups opinion. The manager didn't once stop by to see how we were doing. Our waiter only stopped by once and never asked if we wanted a refill and after the miserable manner he talked to us it we didn't want him back. It was the WORST experience I've had at applebees. The only good thing was my company and the watermelon margarita otherwise it was TERRIBLE. I wouldn't even give it one star. The manager I'm assuming she walked by but didn't stop to see how we were doing and she looked like she was angry anyhow so that would have went over like a fart in church. Does anyone offer good service anymore !!?!?!? The only thing good was the appetizers my friend got as his meal otherwise my boyfriends meal and mine...
