The view is worth five stars, but the food only gets three. My husband and I dine out quite a bit, and we’ve tried nearly every nice restaurant in the springs. While this place was promising, the execution of the food was disappointing.
My husband ordered the Buffalo steak, and it looked good at first. When he cut into it, the edges were completely burnt. It was hard to tell at first, because they covered it in a bunch of garnish. The cut of meat was very thin, so the entire thing was horribly overcooked, even though he asked for medium. We met another couple later on that evening, and the woman had the same thing my husband did, and she also had the same complaint.
I had the salmon (tasty), and also ordered some of the mushroom risotto to go with it. It was pretty good, but not the best I’ve had. And for the price, I definitely expected better. The plus side is the serving for the mushroom risotto could’ve fed 3 to 4 people. They put a lump of shaved mushrooms in the center, which is unnecessary and makes the side dish dry. Also, it was lacking flavor, such as the basics: salt. I was disappointed in this, because mushroom risotto is one of my favorite dishes.
We had the crab cakes as appetizer, and it was really good. The disappointment here was there’s only ONE on the plate, and equaled about 1 ounce of food for two people. The serving size of this as an appetizer makes zero sense.
The cocktails were tasty but also a little overpriced compared to other similar restaurants. It does take awhile for them to prepare, due to the mixing, so the bar staff is very busy and delayed.
Because this place is new, it’s getting a lot of attention, and there’s typically a wait. They seem to pride themselves on turning people away if you don’t have a reservation, which, we did. But I can tell you if I didn’t have a reservation and tried to dine here, I would be severely upset paying that kind of money for disappointing fare and a long wait.
The saving grace of this place is definitely the rooftop...

Read moreWe made reservations for 7:45. We arrived about 15 minutes prior to our reservations. We're told our table is still occupied so we decided to have a drink at the bar until our table was ready. The host said that would be fine. It was our first time visiting the restaurant and we were there to celebrate my best friend's birthday. The astomosphere was nice the view of the mountains was stunning. I couldn't wait to be seated and hoped we had a seat by the window to continue to enjoy the mountain view. 7:45 came and went, my Friend went back to the hostes who apologized and said she will sear us now she had forgotten about us. Once seated a nice lady came over and introduced herself as our waitress. We Started off with an appetizer. She then took our order for the entries. About 30 minutes passed before we received our appetizer and we watched as people who were seated after us receive their meal pay their check and leave before we received ours. A full hour had gone by and we had not been checked on by the waitress. We didn't have water or were offered a drink. My friend asked for a manager, the manager came over and apologized and said our food should be out and that everything was on the house. About 20-30 minutes had passed and still no food. The restaurant was almost empty when they finally brought out our meal. My friend's meal was cold and undercooked, I'm not sure what it was That I was served but it was warm just not what I expected. The friend's whose birthday we were celebrating waiting ab extra 10 minutes for her salmon. It wasn't so bad. We were not very pleased. We took the food to go. I ended up stopping at a bar and getting hot wings. Will never go back here. Over priced, you're paying...
