Update 07/13/25
Stopped in today to get some homework done. I ordered a coffee like I always do, found a seat, and was kindly told by staff that outside food and drinks aren’t allowed. I was asked to sit outside and finish my Smoothie King smoothie before coming back in.
This review update is not directed towards the staff. They were super polite and just doing their job. No complaints there. This review is directed at the owners.
I’ve been coming here for over a year, multiple times a month. I always support the business, and this was the first time I brought in anything from outside. It wasn’t from another coffee shop, just a smoothie—which you don’t even sell. I wasn’t trying to loiter or bring in my own full meal. I literally had your coffee in hand and was ready to work.
It just felt unnecessarily rigid, especially for a regular customer.
Very welcoming atmosphere, delicious coffee, and friendly staff. I haven’t tried the food yet, but I’m sure it’s delicious.
This is an okay place to study if you have noise-cancelling earbuds. It can get very loud due to the overhead music and other patrons. I personally find the music too loud.
Other than the noise issue, this is a good option for coffee and a quick bite. More of a social coffee shop than a...
Read moreLoyal Coffee has been a staple in the springs community for years, and I’ve casually visited many times with friends. Back then, I didn’t have the same appreciation for coffee that I’m developing now. My palate has definitely evolved—I used to find their drinks too bitter simply because I was used to the sweetness of Dutch Bros and Starbucks. (Which I will add I’m sure you can ask for it to be sweeter if you prefer)
Now, after working as a barista at two specialty coffee shops, I have a deeper appreciation for roasters, flavor profiles, and the craft behind a great cup of coffee. Today, I ordered a Kenya blend pour-over and was intrigued by their computerized brewing system. I’d love to learn more about how it compares to a fully manual pour-over in terms of extraction, but I imagine it helps with consistency and efficiency.
Phillip was my barista today, and you can tell he has the craft dialed in. Even though the café was a bit busier than my personal preference, the service remained smooth—about a five-minute wait for a pour-over, which is totally reasonable. It’s not a high-speed, drive-thru operation, but they handle the volume well.
Huge thanks to Phillip for the excellent coffee and to the owner and roasters for their dedication to quality. A lovely cup to...
Read moreHow I love Loyal Coffee! I have been here many times. The quality coffee, pastries, and service are top notch. The aesthetic is warm, clean, and inviting. Loyal has a fantastic vibe!
Anyone could make good coffee. Many do. However, the service is what puts Loyal at the top of my list. Mick and the staff were very attentive today. A small example - I dropped my espresso spoon on the way to my table. Before I had the chance to set my drink down and return to pick up the spoon, the staff had already noticed and they were in the process of bringing me a new spoon.
The tables are hard to come by, as Loyal Coffee has a strong following of remote workers that enjoy the space. Knowing this, I plan ahead and show up 15 minutes before meeting a client to ensure that I can snag us a table in time. As soon as a guest leaves the table, the staff is prompt, clearing and cleaning the table for the next guest to enjoy. Kudos, as others would have turned away and left the guests to figure it out.
Lastly, the pastries are always fresh and baked locally at another favorite of mine, the French Kitchen. If you haven't had a chance to stop by the French Kitchen on the North side of Colorado Springs, Loyal Coffee is appreciated by all on the South side. Thank you for sharing such...
