Hard to give anything better than a 2 star when you're sitting here with half your scalding hot coffee in your lap. Take your own cup because the ones provided are garbage. Now that the intense coffee bath I had to endure s over, I will amend my review. The guy at the counter was great, coffee was tasty and hot, as it should be. The to go cups are substandard. After only 5 minutes of it being full, I had not even had 1 sip, the paper cup would not hold shape. It folded in on itself with the appropriate amount of product. The plastic top popped off and half the contents spilt into my lap. I'll go back but I'm taking my own cup for sure!

Located in Aracia Park on E. Bijou St is this cute little tiny home coffee stand. It’s air conditioned inside with a few tables and seats on the patio. You get the view of the big blue fountain and the park. Right next to the stand is the public restroom. My first choice was Honey Vanilla Latte but then I saw "SEASONAL OFFERINGS". So I asked and got the iced hazelnut mocha and it was so creamy and buttery. Tasted like Vietnamese Coffee. We also got a coconut chocolate blueberry scone and it was one of the better ones that we’ve had on this trip because it was completely moist. As if I was eating cookie/cake crumble.

I try local coffee shops whenever I travel. I have my own mobile coffee business and have a discerning palate when it comes to coffee. My go-to drink to try at each new place is a hot mocha latte. Story Coffee Company made a great mocha—milk steamed properly (silky fine micro foam and correct temp), not too sweet and the double shot of espresso had a great full presence in the cup—great flavor not drowned out by the milk. The barista was friendly and happy to talk shop with me. we loved the tiny home turned coffee shop building.

I've been here about 2 times and I absolutely love it. However the 2nd visit was vastly different from the first. The workers don't have name tags but the one guy is absolutely amazing. He has so much passion and knowledge for the coffee and it tasted amazing. Was possibly the best mocha I've had from anywhere. We went the next time and it was someone different. She didn't seem so friendly but everyone has their days, its okay. The coffee tasted completely different though. We got the same exact thing we did the first time but it wasn't that good at all. Not sure why it was different other than maybe she was new. Would be 5 stars based on our first experience but the second time being not as friendly or good. I'd still definitely go again but only if I see the guy is the one...

My husband and I stopped by this cute coffee shop downtown while on Vacation. He drank their Kenya blend drip coffee and I had the Palmer blend drip coffee. The coffee was so good, you don't need cream or sugar with it. I also had their Vegan/GF almond chocolate loaf, which was so good, you wouldn't think it was Gluten Free and Vegan. My husband had the orange-thyme scone which I tried and it was very complimentary to the coffee.

From the outside it doesn't look like there would be seating, but there are 3 bistro bar height tables with 2 chairs per table, and a bench on the other side, with outdoor seating as well.

Relaxing music played in the background as I watched locals come in and have conversations with the barista.

You should stop by and drink some...

We try coffee everywhere we go, and Story is easily one of our top 3. The espresso is so smooth and rich! My personal favorite is the purple rain latte, made with their homemade lavender syrup. It’s great both hot and cold. We ended up going 3 times in one day between the two locations. The last time I went was just before closing, and the barista was SO sweet, even though it was the very end of her shift…she was so pleasant and happy. She made me feel welcome and it made all the difference at the end of a tiring day! I just had to have one last cup before leaving Colorado Springs! I selfishly wish they were a national chain, but then again, Story just charming and perfect the...
