I went into store today and spoke to owner about shoes and a channel dress. I had inquired about a dress, and she said right out the gate that won't fit you. I said if you don't mind me asking what size it is. She said like 4 to 6. I said I am a 5. But you have big hips she said, the owner of the dress does not she said. Wow are you serious. On top of in front of customers. Not only have I surprised people on what size I wear but I am in the modeling industry, and you made me feel like hips are fat when that is not the case. I am 147 lbs. size 5 and surprise a lot of people. You did not know I would buy for someone else you assumed otherwise. This is a consignment store, right? Their consignment policies are confusing though. I’m told on the phone that they are NOT taking any consignments at all, which is really weird. I’ve never heard of a consignment store NOT taking consignments at all. The website states no more FALL consignments. I took in several high end purses with the tags still on them and two Hermes scarfs still in their original boxes and was turned away and told no consignments are being accepted until the Spring. Not very friendly people in this store and they are really rude on the phone.

Very easy seller experience! I called a few days ahead to see what kind of things they bought, and I brought in a couple of bags. They took a lot of the stuff I brought and very clearly explained how consignment works there. They said they sell things for about 1/3 to 1/4 of retail prices, and if an item gets sold the consignor gets 40% of the sale price. I didn’t have to wait at all for the folks working there to go through my stuff, so it was overall a very easy and nice experience.
