My husband and I went through the drive-thru tonight (the dining room closed at 7). The line was incredibly long, but we waited 15-20 minutes and understood. My order was as follows "Two 6-piece chicken strip baskets, a small Royal New York Cheesecake with Strawberry filling Blizzard, a large chocolate shake, and two waters." Our total was $25.55. We paid with a gift card ($20) and cash. The lady gave us our change just before our food and drinks. No receipt was given with the change. We started to pull away when my husband noticed there was a 4-piece chicken strip basket, and a 6-piece chicken strip basket. As mentioned, we ordered TWO 6-piece chicken strip baskets. The line was still very long, so we went to the door where an employee was cleaning nearby. She came to the door and spoke with my husband about the mistake. He even gave her the bag of food. She came back and asked for our receipt. He informed her that if it wasn't in the bottom of the bag, then we were not given one. Again, we JUST pulled out of the drive-thru. She went back in and another lady came out and told him they added the missing chicken strip, but next time we need to "be more clear and have our receipt." I get mistakes happen. My husband works in the food industry. However, telling your customer to "be more clear" when the order was "two 6-piece chicken strip baskets" and to "have our receipt" when the employee is the one who did not give it to us,...
Read moreI was extremely disappointed with my service when I went through the drive-thru on June 15th. We got there 10 minutes before closing and they weren't acknowledging the speaker at all...hopefully it's sensor is broken to explain that. But I get it they were about to close but what really upset me was the fact that everyone in the window were on their phones. Not to mention they handed me the wrong blizzard. I understand that people make mistakes I wasn't mad but I went back inside to get my blizard but what really discusted me was the fact that they took my blizard and instead of throwing it away or just leaving it on the counter one of the employees auctioned it off to the employees infront of everyone in the store. Not to mention, every employee inside was on their phones and the manager had no care in world that they were and I could tell was just ready to close the store. I used to work in fast food and that is agaisnt so many health codes. When I finally got my Blizzard they didn't even make it right but I was over it. Worst DQ I have ever...
Read moreA few months ago I had a semi-frustrating experience with this Dairy Queen. I purchased two large Strawberry New York Cheesecake blizzards and they lacked nearly all of the two namesake ingredients. When I spend $10+ on ice cream, I'm going to hold it to a higher standard than I would a couple Mcflurries. The abovementioned experience taught me a lesson with Dairy Queen; make sure you're vocal about the quality of your blizzard [when ordering].
This time around, the two blizzards were made correctly and tasted fantastic. This may be due to my [politely] vocalized frustration regarding my prior experience. The price is a bit steep ($5.00+), but considering the quality and quantity of ingredients, I'd say they're worth every penny.
Overall, the restaurant was clean (as always), the staff was moderately friendly, and my blizzards were made quickly...
