Review from visit October 2023: Would give this place 0 stars. A new one of my nursing jobs was close to this place, so decided to give it a try and pick up a sub on the way home. Horrible idea. I walked in around 7ish and it was dead, about 6 male workers in their late teens/early 20's. It was my 1st time here and it seemed like a few were working on what I assumed were online orders, the others just standing around them chatting. Not 1 person acknowledged I was standing there. After about 8-10 min pass, still nothing. I say excuse me and immediately they look irritated that I've interrupted their playtime and ask if I'm standing in the right spot to order or should I walk over to the register on the other side. "No, this is where you order, but we're busy with online orders, so you'll need to wait." Rude, but ok, im tired, just worked a long shift, I just want to get a sandwich and go home, so I cont to wait. Not less than a min later another male adult customer walks in and stands behind me and slightly to the left as I cont to look at the menu on the wall while I wait. These boys immediately stop what they're doing, look at him and ask for his order. Ok, now I'm straight pissed. I look at the other customer, he's standing there confused not knowing they've not offered to help me, so I say to the group of boys, "you know I've been standing here trying to order now for about 15 min, exactly what is the problem here." One of the boys says to me, "here behind the sign is where you're supposed to order, you'll need to get in line", literally the same jerk who told me earlier this is where I stand to order. The other customer was horrified and he told them they needed to help me first as I was obviously there before him. And they just looked at me, still not taking my order. I don't know what kind of management this place has, but what disgusting behavior from an establishment. Just gross. I walked out, no way I was spending $ there. Funny thing is a week or so later my work ordered lunch and one of my coworkers brought me a turkey sub. I tried it, and it was terrible, way too much bread, barely any sauce, super dry and bland. When I asked where it was from....Dibella's lol. Bad staff, bad food. Go literally...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI waited until after my 3rd visit to the Tuttle location before posting this review as I've had nothing but good experiences at other Dibellas.
This afternoon was my third visit here and the staff was good, they accommodated a long lunch wait in great time and were very friendly. The problem I've had with this this location is their food quality. The subs are just okay, not great despite all the other reviews I've read. There is just not much flavor unless you load with condiments. Most importantly the bread is NEVER fresh. Would it be too much to ask the servers if they pickup a sub bun and it feels like a brick to NOT serve it? Today is the third time in a row I was served a sesame bun that literally could damage a tooth. Extremely hard (not fresh) and this was served to me today at 12 noon when they are busy. The rest of the sub was made to order but had muted flavor so I question if the meat, cheese and veggies are as old as the bread?
There needs to be the same commitment to food quality and freshness as there is at being fast and efficient. There are too many options for subs in 2018 to get lazy so the manager needs to step-back and evaluate. Perhaps send in some secret shoppers to see for himself.
Reference: I ordered a cheese steak and ham/turkey. Both...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm so glad I was introduced to DiBella's. Their ingredients are fresher than the competition in the area, and their bread always smells and tastes amazing! I highly recommend the Everything bread, the additional spices add a great flavor.
I've tried their Albacore Tuna, Cheese steak, and their amazing Buffalo Chicken sub (the one that got me hooked to Dibella's originally, I highly recommend it!). You get to modify what toppings or add ons you'd like, so I always go crazy with that.
I've ordered Dibella's several times now and something I've noticed keeps consistently happening; when you're ordering your sandwich online and modifying it, you're asked "Would you like to add a side?" which I typically do. However, when I receive my order for the office, there's ALWAYS at least 1 side missing. One week it's a pickle($1.79 extra), next week it'll be the potato salad($2.49 extra). I'm not sure when this gets picked up by DoorDash if the driver just forgets to grab the sides or whoever is at fault. I'm not sure what I need to do differently on ordering for the sides to get noticed.
Regardless of that unpleasant error, DiBella's has probably the best subs around that I'm aware of. It would be perfect if I got to try their...
