I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Kitchen Social, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience that beautifully combined delicious food, a warm atmosphere, and exceptional service. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the inviting decor and vibrant ambiance that made the space feel both cozy and lively.
The Kitchen Social prides itself on offering a menu that emphasizes fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, and it certainly delivered. I started my meal with the charcuterie board, which was artfully arranged with a selection of cured meats, artisanal cheeses, and house-made pickles. Each bite was a delightful combination of flavors, and the presentation was visually stunning. This appetizer set the tone for what was to come.
For the main course, I opted for the signature fried chicken, which has garnered a loyal following among regulars. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, with a crispy coating that gave way to tender, juicy meat. It was served with a side of creamy mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables, both of which complemented the dish beautifully. My dining companion chose the salmon, which was equally impressive. Cooked to perfection, it was flaky and flavorful, served with a zesty lemon-dill sauce that elevated the dish.
The drink menu at The Kitchen Social was also noteworthy. They offer a creative selection of cocktails, local craft beers, and a well-curated wine list. I tried the seasonal cocktail, a refreshing blend of gin, cucumber, and mint, which was perfect for the warm evening. The bartender was knowledgeable and friendly, offering recommendations and ensuring that our drinks were crafted to perfection.
What truly stood out during my visit was the attentive service. Our server was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also genuinely enthusiastic about the dishes. They were quick to check on us without being intrusive, making sure that our glasses were full and that we were enjoying our meal. This level of service enhanced the overall dining experience and made us feel valued as customers.
To round off our meal, we couldn’t resist trying dessert. We shared the chocolate lava cake, which was rich and indulgent, with a molten center that oozed out with each spoonful. It was the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal.
Overall, The Kitchen Social exceeded my expectations in every way. The combination of excellent food, a welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding service makes it a must-visit for anyone in the area. Whether you’re looking for a casual meal with friends, a romantic dinner, or a special celebration, The Kitchen Social has something to offer everyone. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their...
Read moreThere is a reason why this place is packed most nights for dinner, and we found it. Kitchen Social is that perfect balance between amazing cuisine, fantastic drinks, generous but not overwhelming portion sizes, remarkably reasonable prices, trendy environment, attentive service, and excellent management. I don't think I've been to another Columbus restaurant quite like it!
RESERVATIONS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
We started out with drinks - Social Sunrise and Bourbon Peach Smash - both balanced perfectly with yummy combinations, neither drink too strong or too weak. We followed that up with the Maple Bourbon Glazed Pork and the Cheddar and Scallion Biscuits.
Let me just reminisce about these biscuits for a minute. Topped with a generous scoop of oozing honey butter, this appetizer rises far, far beyond anything I've ever known as a biscuit: springy, light, savory, cheesy, decadent. Those biscuits were devoured almost immediately by our group and everyone left wanting more. Amazing.
The pork was also excellent, and was seated on a colorful bed of crispy rice and purple shredded cabbage slaw. Another excellent dish.
For entrees, our table ordered Honey Miso Cod, Fish and Chips, and the Chicken Sandwich. All belly-filing portion sizes, all cooked to a perfect doneness, all seasoned and topped with first-rate sauces and condiments, and accompanied by satisfying sides.
For dessert, the Brown Butter Cake and Pecan Butterscotch Bread Pudding, the type of desserts you take the first bite of and then involuntarily close your eyes and hold the bite in your mouth as long as possible to let it melt there, never wanting the taste to end. THAT'S how delicious these desserts were.
EVERYTHING in the kitchen is made FRESH FROM SCRATCH. Which makes the entire experience and quality of the food even more jaw-droppingly outstanding. The server was an obvious foodie and made candid recommendations that really helped us to decide, describing dishes very lovingly and with thoughtful care. The manager came by twice, once during dinner and once during dessert, to check on us - he was affable and charming. Everyone worked tirelessly - from the host to the food runners - to make sure our dining experience was smooth and seamless as possible. GREATLY appreciated.
Because the restaurant's food is at a gourmet level, but without pretense or snobbery, it could be a casual date place or a special occasion place. And we'll be coming back any of those opportunities we get. A++ flawless dining experience...

My family stopped at kitchen social after seeing a tik tok review and deciding we needed to make it part of our spring break trip to Kentucky from Michigan (even though it was technically out of the way) my goodness was it worth it. We arrived on a busy Saturday lunch time. We were greeted happily and told there would be about a 45 minute wait (which we completely expected) after only 15-20 minutes we were sat. The manager that sat us was incredibly welcoming. Our server greeted us with waters got our drink orders and highlighted a few menu items. We knew we had to start with the cheddar scallion biscuits so we ordered that and a couple brunch punch. The atmosphere and decor is top notch. Classy but not stuffy. My husband and I both having worked/working in the hospitality industry are always captivated by open kitchens. Justin, another manager noticed us studying the kitchen and asked if there was anything we were needing. We explained that we just enjoy watching kitchens. He then invited us on a full tour of the kitchen and for a chat with the chefs at the expo window. I can tell you everything is so fresh and the whole crew. Was so welcoming to the three extra bodies in their efficient space.
We arrived back at our table where our biscuit was waiting for us. It did not disappoint. After eating it we knew we needed to try this biscuits and gravy, which my husband and I shared. He also had the crime brûlée French toast and i the chicken and waffles. All three of which were amazing. The brunch punch was also refreshing and co Plummeted it all. Our daughter also enjoyed her bacon, waffles and fresh fruit. And when I say fresh fruit it was fresh! We were so full at this point but knew we had to take the opportunity of the weekend and order the cinnamon biscuit before we left. We were so glad we did.
Everything we saw going out to the diners looked great all around. I’m convinced you can’t go wrong. 10/10 recommend (which is extremely rare for me). It was nice to actually go out and enjoy a meal as opposed to cooking...
