I live right around the corner from this McDonalds, so it's the only one I go to. Usually there are long lines. Like 20 mins long. But I dont mine cause my food is always fresh and customer service is ALWAYS great. Everything you would typically expect from a wealthy area. Was usually one or 2 employees working the night shift so it was understandable. I come so much that the woman who worked 3rd shift began to know me by name, and it was awesome that she remembered who I was it time and even asked about my day. I waited 20-30 mins each night for a quarter pounder meal because it was worth it. Good and Fresh. Fries too hot to eat right away. Sandwich looked like it was straight off the commercial. Perfect! Recently I've been going around 8 or 9 to grab a few happy meals for the children due to a shift change at my work. Quicker service, but HORRIBLE customer service. Not the first time having a problem during this shift. Last time, it was just they simply messed up my order. This time... I actually heard the manager yelling at the cashier because I asked for an extra sauce for my nuggets. "EXTRA SAUCE IS 30 CENTS! NO! WE DONT GIVE EXTRA SAUCE." I was deeply offended. And the cashier looked very embarrassed and belittled. She said it in a manner as if I couldn't afford 30 cent sauce. I gave a $1 for the sauce without asking for change because it's not that serious and I am financially blessed. But her attitude was simply unacceptable. I'm sure that's not the relationship that McDonald's wants to have with there local customers. Upon driving off, I realized that my son did not receive his happy meal toy, his juice box and the fries were not even Luke warm. I'm sure the holding temperature goals were not met and that could have been completely hazardous. I parked the car and went inside, since the line was too long to go through the drive thru again, in order correct the mistake and receive all the items I paid for. The manager on duty continued her attitude towards me, and demanded that me and my son go back to our car to bring her the cold fries. I was in complete shock that someone in management could be so rude, careless and inconsiderate. Not to mention unappoligictic. Good customer service shouldn't be so hard to find. A hello, thank you, have a good day and a smile can go a long way. Honestly, even with cold food, long waits, I would have given 8 stars if there was better service. A rude manager is beyond me. The cashier was actually nice and friendly. And even spoke to a uber eats driver while we waited together, they messed up his order too. But the cross-eyed manager with no obvious morals, character, or common manners... will be the reason I never visit this...
Read moreIn my 24 years of living, last night at 2:41am on 11/30/17, I received literally the WORST service I’ve ever received at a fast food restaurant. I live right around the corner in Old East, and I visit this McDonald’s often, but this is the very last time I will go to this one.
The young lady at the window took forever to take my order. Before taking the order she helped customers in front of my with her headset on. I heard their totals and ask for napkins. She had me repeat my order because she claimed not to hear me due to the broken speaker. When I spoke louder she said “You don’t have to yell”, so I repeated the order AGAIN in my normal tone and she heard me fine.
As I got to the window, I was given terrible tasting fries, so before I drove off, I asked her for fresh fries. She said “So you want fresh fries but you’re sitting in my face eating them?”... the single fry that I tasted for her to know the weren’t fresh. She said “I just dropped those but if you want fresh fries I need those back.”, so I said “I’m not going to lie ma’am, these fries aren’t too good.”, I gave them back with no issue. At this point, I knew I was being treated very rudely. She also said “You can’t hold up my line, go back around.”, and I told her “Sure, that’s no problem. I’ll see you in a sec.”
When I got back to the speaker, I said “Hey, I’m just coming back around for fresh fries.”, and she said “I don’t know why you’re ordering again, you should’ve just came back to the window.”, which all I did was follow her directions. So without responding, I went back to the window to retrieve my fresh fries.
Here’s the kicker... The lady at the window gave me back the original bad tasting fries. When I tasted the fries, I looked at her very skeptically. I then simply asked “Excuse me ma’am, what’s your name?” She sucked her teeth and in a rude, condescending tone said “Bye.”
Me and my friend decided to go to another McDonald’s to get fresh fries.
I never write reviews. I never take matters to management or beyond... but this was by far the worst all around service I’ve received at any fast food restaurant. My story might not sound so bad, but the experience was terrible, especially if you were there. I’m a very polite person. Not one time did I extened to her as a rude customer but I do not understand why she was being rude to me.
I’m assume that others who wrote poor reviews are referring to the same young lady that was at the window on the night I went. As I said, I visit this McDonald’s often. If I go back there, I would be shocked to see her at the...
Read moreafter a few years I’ve tried giving this McDonald’s a chance again and in the evenings I usually have a decent experience. At midnight (I work second shift) twice my fries were hard and cold (no I didn’t say anything to them, I’m not that much of a Karen lol) and I’m only saying this as i update another poor drive thru experience in the morning. Did you change your rules about adding light ice to hot coffee? Two times in a few months I’ve gone through for a hot coffee at 7-8 am and the same female employee has said she can’t add light ice to the coffee. Only if I order an iced coffee or buy a cup of ice. I asked if they got rid of the button that says “light ice” when ordering coffees and she couldn’t give a good reason why I couldn’t just get a couple cubes of ice in my coffee to cool down what we know is all too hot coffee you serve so I don’t burn myself as this location also seems to not put sleeves on their hot coffees two times now. So I ordered a cup of light ice and had to ask for room to put my light ice in my coffee cup. And then had to add it while obviously struggling to not splash hot water on me simultaneously from the coffee. Make it make sense. Why can’t I add light ice to a cup of coffee?… these were just odd interactions and she wasn’t rude. But wish she would explain this logic unless McDonald’s is seriously trying to save money on a few ice cubes since I worked there? I’ll gladly pay to cool my coffee down even though that’s absurd. The woman handing my coffee was nice and had nothing to do with this. Also, on a Saturday at 7:50 am why did I have to pull up to wait 4 minutes for a plain cup of coffee yet my food was ready? Idc if it’s busy but it wasn’t and the coffee should have been ready for people on their commute to work. The last thing I think I’d need to wait for is plain coffee at that time on a weekend when they seemed staffed appropriately and there were only two cars in line. I’ll just go to Tim Hortons or Starbucks from now on. I only went there for...
