We had the absolute best experience working with BJ Lieberman and the entire team at Metsiâs for our wedding and rehearsal dinner, which were both held at an off-site venue. From start to finish, everything was thoughtful, seamless, and beyond anything we imagined.
Food was incredibly important to us, and BJ and Pam and their entire team made our dream menu come to life â complete with custom multi-course meals, passed appetizers, and signature cocktails. They even created custom ice cream flavors, made our wedding cake from scratch, and served the most perfect late-night snacks â every bite was unforgettable.
Even though our wedding reception wasnât at their restaurant, they handled the off-site setup and service flawlessly. The team was organized, efficient, and made everything feel effortless â our guests never wouldâve known it wasnât a full-service venue.
We did a tasting at the Metsiâs kitchen a few months before the wedding, and we were blown away by the quality, presentation, and creativity. On the actual day, it was even better. The serving staff went above and beyond, and our guests are still talking about how amazing everything was. A few of our guests had food allergies and dietary restrictions were able to accommodate all of them with ease. During our rehearsal dinner, BJ personally came out and presented each of the courses to us which was so interesting to our guests to learn more about the food and made it even more special.
BJ and Pam treated us and our families with such care and kindness. They truly went above and beyond in every way, and our wedding wouldnât have been the same without them. If youâre looking for unforgettable food and an amazing team to bring it all to life â hire Metsiâs. Youâll be so...

The food itself is uninspiring and often, a note off. My husband ordered some marinated peppers, he said that those were the best thing that he had ordered. He did say that they could have used a bit more charring, but that could be a personal preference. My favorite thing was the Strawberry and Shaved Fennel Salad, it was flavorful and had a nice balance of textures. We also ordered the sourdough focaccia, very good, but nothing special. I had the lobster ravioli as my main dish, it had potential, but the incorporated lemon flavor in the filling significantly overpowered the delicate lobster meat. My husband took our waiterâs suggestion and ordered the marinated flank steak, medium-rare, but it came out well-done. He said the cut wasnât great, a bit grizzly and that the salsa verde was what saved the steak. But again, subpar flavor combinations. We both ordered the only non-alcoholic beverage on the menu, basil lemonade. It tasted like barely diluted acidic bottled lemon juice. They threw in one basil leaf, no muddling or anything to incorporate the basil flavor.
The atmosphere is fine. Nice large windows. It could use an accent wall or a mural to make the space feel more memorable and inviting.
My husband and I have frequented the ownerâs other restaurants, Chapmanâs and Ginger Rabbit, and really enjoyed our experiences at both. Metsiâs,...

We arrived Thursday evening and sat at the bar. The place looks nice: lots of natural light and an open bar near the window. But the food⌠was just okay, or even below our standards. Iâd agree with others whoâve said that when it comes to Italian spots in Columbus, Speck would be our first choice.
Arancini â Bland. I couldnât taste the mushrooms at all. Two out of the three were hugeâfelt like they were made from leftover mushroom risotto đ Wood-Smoked Artichoke â Very good. Easily the best dish we had out of the four. Cacio e Pepe â Total disappointment. I could tell right away the pasta was overcooked. The shape was odd, and the sauce resembled soupâjust awful. We didnât finish it. Mushroom Risotto â It was okay, but it wasnât risotto. And the portion size⌠I was honestly confused by the bowl. I understand some people like big portions, but for an upscale restaurant, thatâs not a great look. Plus againâitâs not risotto. More like a savory rice porridge with mushrooms. Cocktails were fine, but after the food, I wasnât in the mood to try anything else. We told our waitress that the cacio e pepe was bad, and she kindly took it off the bill.
Unfortunately, I didnât make any photos. Was too...
