Fantastic microbrewery with excellent beers, ranging from traditional to infused varieties. Taste is certainly subjective, but this is one of the rare places where I really enjoyed the majority of what I tried. Very difficult to go wrong here for beer selection. Food was also very good. Slightly high in price, but substantial in portion and very flavorful. I had the Cuban sandwich, and it was one of the best I've had. It's a bit trendy in terms of aesthetics, but very comfortable. It's a very open layout, with almost a tap house feel; large communal tables to encourage interaction, and a good-sized bar to welcome smaller, less social groups. All in all, a place WELL worth visiting in Columbus. The proximity to the convention center is welcome; just a short walk of about 4 minutes from the Crowne Plaza/Hilton puts you right at the front door. I highly recommend this...
Read moreThe restaurant space was beautiful and cozy. We sat at the bar, and both bartenders were friendly and talkative - this worked for us, but a table might be best if you want privacy.
The cocktail I had and the beer my friend had were both tasty. We got a pickled vegetable appetizer and an order of shrimp and grits, and both were plenty to share between the two of us. The grits were deliciously creamy. I do wish the shrimp had been tailless; it's so messy to take the tails off of shrimp that are covered in sauce.
I would definitely eat here again. It was nice that they were able to seat us at the bar without reservations, but I would definitely suggest reservations if you have more than two people or want a more private experience, since they did not have any...
Read moreMy favorite brewery in Columbus, and I work in beer. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Their beer is great. Their Clear Sky Cream Ale Series is magnificent. Their IPAs are solid. Their stouts are rich and flavorful, especially any of the barrell aged versions. They even have an awesome on-site barrel aging sour program. The tap room often has experimental, limited releases you'll find nowhere else. And then there's the food. The restaurant upstairs is upscale, a bit pricy, but totally worth it for an amazing meal made with skill and wonderful ingredients. The taproom downstairs also churns out magnificent food, but more in line with 'basic' pub fare (burgers, fries, etc). All in all, I cannot recommend this local treasure...
