Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Columbus

So I have a few mixed emotions about this place. It has recently become one of my favorite places to frequent but as recent as last week I experienced one disturbing thing and one irritating thing. The disturbing thing was I went in one early afternoon to get myself a smoothie when I witnessed a beautiful Indian woman with a purple visor hat working behind the counter with no gloves. She was preparing someone else's smoothie order and it contained mango. When she dished it out of the container to place in the blender cup a piece of mango fell out and it the counter. She took her hand with no gloves mind you, picked up the mango and threw it back into the container that she drew the previous contents for the current smoothie she was making. I was disturb and glad she wasnt making mine. Then she prepare another smoothie that had mango in it and Im pretty sure the mango that she touched with her bare hand ended up in it. I dont believe I got anything with mango in it that day. The irritating thing is that my smoothies aren't consistent. Its based on who is making them. So I have had some that were thick and delicious and them some that taste more like water then fruit. If the ingredients would be more consent I would be more prone to come even more because I do thoroughly enjoy the smoothies I have had and the wraps.

Just be reminded as we wait for our smoothies and food to be completed, all we have left to do is watch you prepare it....

I’m so bummed. I work from home and order here at least once a week, as it’s my favorite for “fast food”. I do so through the app, which employs DoorDash to do its deliveries. Unfortunately, this last delivery didn’t go so smooth - for the first time, and probably the last.

My driver arrived without the smoothie; no big deal, mistakes happen. I call the location as is advised for any issues regarding delivery. The person from the location was unhelpful, and stated that the driver had to come back as the smoothie was nonrefundable. If I did this order directly through DoorDash, it would be refunded in an instant. Though I understand that’s the benefit of their customer service.

I have no way of enforcing the driver to return, because it was not through DoorDash directly I have no way of complaining or requesting a return delivery. I called back, and was told “it is what it is”. I’ve filed my complaint through the app as well, and hope there’s some sort of corporate presence to help me out? The smoothie was more than half the value of my order....

If you want Tropical Smoothie Cafe, please go to another location. DO NOT give your money to the location on Morse Rd. This location is under new management since we last visited. All older reviews are based on the old management. We had a TERRIBLE experience. The man pictured below was so rude. This same man was the cause of another terrible experience of a different customer. He said he was the owner and that his name was Sam. I was very unhappy with the detox smoothie I got because it tasted like water. The owner refused to give me my money back or make me another smoothie. It is evident he doesn’t value the customer experience. He stated all customers complain about the detox smoothie, which is why he can’t give people refunds or remake the smoothie. Please go to another location if you want to have a positive experience. We have been to other locations that have awesome staff and make...
