I can't even emphasize with words how consistently rude and careless the staff are at this Wendy's location next to Tuttle mall. I am a local in the area and so the location is very convenient but that is not even enough to influence my EVER doing business there anymore. Moving forward I will be deliberately going out of my way to avoid this location. I've never felt so irate as a consumer ANYWHERE like I have at this particular Wendy's. I've personally worked customer service/fast food jobs myself for at least 8 years now and there is NO excuse for how badly these employees operate at this restaurant. If you're not even capable of basic "people skills" when it comes to something as rudimentary as simply greeting a customer, why and HOW on earth are you employed here where "customer service" is the foundation of your job description??? Every single experience to date that I've gone there, (and I've lived in the area for about 1 year now) at ANY TIME OF DAY, whether you try to dine in or take the drive-thru, the initial customer interaction ALONE is an extreme turn off right off the bat. You get no greeting, usually just a sharp and lazy (or really fast and aggressive) "What can I get you," or "what do you want." That's IF there's any words at all, by the way. Sometimes they're too lazy and careless to even put up a sign or somehow communicate to customers something that signals they're either busy or randomly closed in some cases. They interrupt you while you're still placing your order, they don't repeat your order back to you for confirmation, they don't tell you your total, they just quickly demand you to the window. They never even give you a receipt, and if you ask for one they act so pained and irritated about it as if you're wasting their time or you're a nuisance. There's almost ALWAYS something wrong with the order or something completely missing. The wait time tends to be extremely slow. They're always on their phones and act like they can't be bothered, even though you're a paying customer. Often times they won't even look at you. Especially when you go inside the store, for some reason no one seems to care if you're waiting at the counter to place an order. Just complete disregard for the customers' time/needs. When it comes to the actual food, it's honestly hit or miss, just hope to get lucky with freshness as opposed to cold or poorly prepared food. Some staff aren't even in uniform at all walking around the kitchen in street clothes. I truly desire this message to reach someone influential who can change the situation there. The current staff should absolutely be terminated, or at the very least, written up and retrained... Of all the complaints in this review, what bothers me the most from a customer perspective would be the simple lack of basic respect and competence in properly acknowledging and addressing another person. If you "don't want to be bothered" or have to interact with the public, or apparently just "don't know how" for that matter, get the hell out of customer service and work at a damn warehouse...
Read moreConsumer is definitely an afterthought, at this location: Unfortunately, this is the closest Wendy’s to my house, so for the sake of convenience I continue to be a patron here. Tonight, pulled up to an unoccupied/open drive- thru lane, not to be greeted or have any immediate communication from the Wendy’s employee (which is not an unusual occurrence at this particular location.) Time was 10:29pm. Maybe a full minute pass in silence before I tried speaking into the box, hoping to alert someone inside to the presence of a customer—silence. By this time a line of 2 more cars formed behind me, and it was at the 6 minute mark of waiting and intermittently shouting into the box on my end that the customer behind me pulled out of line and left. Another few seconds pass, and I decided to pull around directly to the pick-up window, figuring there must be some broken technology involved along the ordering process or something. Got someone’s attention in the window, he proceeded to UNlock the pick up window completely to open it enough to say “they’re closed”, and turn back to what looked like machinery cleaning with another employee. No more words or communication, or explanations offered. When I pulled around the building, there were still a couple cars futilely waiting in the drive-thru ordering station, and honestly I should have rolled past to relay the “closed” memo, but I was too frustrated in the moment. Here’s my issues with this experience: where was any sort of message/marketing/indication posted to the customer saying they’re closed??? I saw nothing anywhere on the building, windows, ordering lane, nothing. And I know this Wendy’s to stay open at LEAST til 12AM (from personal late night hunger runs.). Now, I can understand extenuating circumstances, sh*t happens, and they have to close. But I mean, why is it clearly too much to expect the customer be alerted? I’ve even done a [quick] online check for this location’s hours before I began this rant, in case there was a message posted online or something saying they’d be closed by a certain time, on tonight’s date, for whatever reason. Didn’t see anything other than the usual posted closing hour of 1AM. It’s always something [negative] with this Wendy’s. Frustrating enough to provoke this bitter, late night review, as opposed to letting it go immediately and getting on...
Read moreThe most horrific service. I felt like crying. The new AI kept messing up my order so a worker came on the mic.
She kept asking me to speak louder and louder and I ended up shouting my order repeatedly. My son got scared from me having to shout so bad, that I asked twice can I just come to the window and order because i cant keep screaming. That request was ignored and I was told to keep raising my voice as they cant hear.
They then forgot to turn off their mic and I heard them being annoyed.
When i got to the window they gave me stone cold silence and service. No apologies for their mic not working and AI messing up the order multiple times and about me having to scream my order over and over.
The lady with the blonde curly hair especially was cold. She took the wrong AI generated order for the extra tangerine twist lemonades that were made, took a sip of it and then pour it back into the main lemonade mixer!!
When she handed my order I said thank you repeatedly to other staff and her and was ignored. The curly blonde woman then said thank you as we pulled out and then smirked and said to her co worker “that thank you wasnt for them, that was for you.”
When I got home one of my doubles was just cheese and burger. Nothing else. Bun, cheese and burger patty. Honestly, i feel so upset at how horribly the staff are trained and how i was treated. Im near tears and my...
