Honestly, this breaks my heart. I live in this area for 3 months a year. This (was) my happy place. Ate from here every week for 9 weeks last season. Same order: 1/2 lb crab legs, 1/2 lb headless shrimp, mild, lemon pepper. Absolute heaven. Get into town last week, celebrated here. Met Jamal, (amazing server, great energy), got the same order. Realized it was light, i remember saying something like, "this looks light." Whatever, its been 9 months, maybe I'm wrong. But half a rack of legs and 6 shrimp didn't look like 1/2 lb each. Went again tonight. Ordered the same meal. Hate to admit, brought a newly purchased digital scale I had to be sure im not crazy. Now I know what this looks like. I'm not trying to "5 Dollar footlong" this situation. (I even said that to Mark, the manager) I know they are crabs legs, and will vary, there's shell, and water, im not trying to split hairs. With that said, half of crab legs they normally provide were missing. I weighed the legs. 0.22 lbs. I ask the server, Brandi. (Absolutely incredible this one, don't loose her) if I could get just another set of legs. She admits she must ask the manager. That's fine, I got a scale, no problem, send them over. Enter Mark, I will admit, he was very calm, and cordial. But that was it. I asked to get another set of crab legs, since these are less than half for what I paid for. Showed him on the scale. And every reaction from him was gaslighting. "I came here every week last year." -"You sure it was This location?" 'The scale shows it's 0.22lbs, can I just another set? Which is still not 1/2 lb?' -"Well, that's Your scale." 'Dude, I bought this for this reason, i was hoping I was wrong.' zeros out scale, weighs again, same weight -"Our half racks are 1/2 lb, sir." 'Clearly not! I just weighed it twice, in front of you. Can I get another set, or a discount, since im not getting what I paid for?!' -"nah, anything else?" Very disappointing, Mark. Still amazing food, still ate it all. Still hungry Sad to admit, this is no longer my happy place. [Jamal and Brandi are incredible assets to the company] I did not record this encounter. I am not looking for clout, or "likes" or whatever. But Mark really let me...
Read moreI went to the restaurant tonight with my family; my mother, my 13 year old daughter (her birthday was today), my 11 year old twin sons, and my 2 month old daughter to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The host was very unprofessional and rude initially, and her hostility elevated when she attempted to seat my party near one of the kitchen doors. I asked if we could be seated at a table whereas my baby would not be in the aisle as she was sitting in her Doona car seat/stroller. The host acted as if there were no areas without traffic, but I pointed to a table in a corner where my baby could socially distance from people and be comfortable without people walking all around her (consistently.) She said the table was dirty then we followed her to it as she directed us to do. She did a poor job spraying and wiping the table. She put the wax paper on top of a dirty table and seated us. After sitting for over 15 minutes without any interaction from staff, my mother walks to the bar to ask for help. The bartender “Hayley” said she noticed we had been sitting there and went to ask for help. I realized the table was dirty with crumbs and dirt. I went to the front to inform the host of my dirty table and lack of service. She barely acknowledged me or what asking. After she attempted to deny what I was trying to tell her, she went to the table and I pointed out the old food and dirt, and she wiped it off again. She was very angry it seemed, so I told her I would just go to Charlotte’s location. I asked for the manager and Tyler was so GrEAT about the situation. He reassured me that I wouldn’t have anymore issues, apologized for the host’s behavior, and gave us the bartender Hayley who was the best server I’ve ever had!!! She made our night and my daughter’s birthday very special!!! I was very disappointed and uncomfortable when I first arrived (first impression), but after TYLER and HAYLEY helped us out, the vibe changed and we enjoyed ourselves and the food/drink! 1 star for the host and 5 stars for Tyler...
Read moreI brought my son and friend for lunch for their birthdays on a Thursday at lunch time. We were the first customers seated. We sat and waited for a while before our waitress Jasmine walked past and said she would be right with us. She did this 3 more times before she actually took our drink order. I had to tell her we were ready to order after she walked past us a few more times, which she didn’t seem to like. She had an attitude all over her face. She took our order, which she didn’t write down. After we ordered I asked if that was too much to remember, but she repeated it back fine. When our food came out, my friends meal was missing completely but they brought out extra shrimp. We waved her down to tell her it was wrong and we tried explaining when, what I think was a manager walked over. Jasmine basically told her she could figure out what we were talking about and she walked away. The other lady was very nice and apologetic for Jasmines rude behavior. The woman confirmed the mix up a few times to make sure she got it right. Jasmine brought the food out and had an attitude the whole rest of the time we were there. She had a very obvious RBF from the time we walked in until the time we left. Our bill was $100 and I under tipped because of her rude behavior toward us the whole time we were there. We were very nice, even when the order came out wrong. She acted like she couldn’t be bothered to listen and couldn’t believe she got the order wrong. We have all been here multiple times and never had an issue with a waitress or the food. It’s the only place my son wanted to go eat for his birthday and the waitress ruined the whole experience. I wish I would have gotten the other lady’s name because she was great. Also I want to mention, the few tables I saw seated after us Jasmine was very pleasant with and got their drink orders right when...
