So disappointed with my experience in the bar last night. Was denied a drink because the bartender thought I was intoxicated. I’m 49 years old. I was there after dinner for a drink with my son, his girlfriend, and my boyfriend. I was far from intoxicated. I couldn’t decide what I wanted so that somehow made me appear intoxicated?? The menu is huge and the options are endless!! And I happen to be indecisive and I didn’t want something sugary and I’m not a beer drinker. Period. It was ridiculous and honestly, very embarrassing. My son is beginning school at UNH. I made a 5hr drive to visit before classes begin. Was delighted to discover Tandy’s when we arrived, and sat outdoors around 5pm waiting for my son to meet up with us. Everything was fabulous. Our waitress was great, and very patient with my questions about various cocktails and wine, and what I might like that wouldn’t be too sweet. Even suggested a coconut rum that she said was new. I didn’t want it with the pineapple and orange juice as she suggested because it sounded too sweet. I had an espresso martini and a glass of wine, an appetizer, and even bought a hoodie. Everything was fabulous, and I left her a generous tip which she fully deserved. When we went back to the indoor bar after dinner at the barley house, the atmosphere was completely different. After some debate, I ordered that rum the waitress had suggested with club soda. The bartender was rude and annoyed and told me that it wasn’t new and that they’ve had it for a while. I was just stating what my waitress earlier had told me… At any rate, he made it for me, but refused to give me anything other than a glass of water after that because he thought I was intoxicated. I honestly think he was just annoyed with my order and indecisiveness when I went to order some else. I was far from intoxicated, and I did not deserve the treatment I received from this bartender. I Will definitely not ever return to...

Read moreI made my return to Tandy’s recently after not having lived locally for a while and I have to say it was like coming home! The faces have changed (a little) but the atmosphere is what I remembered! I love the food and the service! Everyone is friendly and I’ve only been going here and there for a little over a month and the staff know me by name! Go out of their way to say hi and how are you. It can be a packed place some nights and the staff has always made me feel safe! It’s like a family in there! I commend Greg and Scott they’ve put together an amazing crew down there to back up their great food, service and entertainment! I also just had the pleasure of participating in their Market Days “Tandy’s Idol” you wanna talk family!? My goodness!!!!! Andrea D. Is one hell of a woman! I have done a contest or two before and Tandy’s Idol was by far the most FAIR and well organized one I’ve been in! DJ Kenny P is definitely the man you want in the DJ booth he always creates a friendly atmosphere! Love him so much! BUT You’re always going to have someone who’s ego is hurt when it comes to things like this and 9 times out of 10 the have the tact and class to move forward with dignity and grace… unfortunately everyone once in a while there’s that one who’s ego is greater than their talent who will publicly embarrass themselves but that in my opinion reflects poorly on them not the venue. My most sincere thanks to Greg and Scott for the opportunity to not only compete but become part of the Tandy’s family! And truly hope I have the chance to compete next year but I can promise you all you will see me at Tandy’s all year long in between for fried pickles and dumplings lol! Great food! Great friends!...
