Fadi's Mediterranean Grill — Restaurant in Katy

Fadi's have always been a favorite in our family for many years and when we moved to Katy, we thought, this was our spot. We have ordered Fadi's at Mason Rd through Door Dash many times and each time was slightly disappointed but today we decided we would NEVER return. This was our 8th time dining in at this location. Recently we noticed that the food and service started to lack. Our visit before today, we felt sort of strange when the owner(or manager, black jacket) walked around and delivered cups of complimentary tea to a few customers. Trying to not make a deal of it, I assume it must've been customers who spent a certain amount of money, Today, it was proven that my assumptions were wrong.

It started when we were ordering. We went through the server line and chose hummus as a side. I watched the lady in front of me receive a huge scoop of hummus from the heap and offered oil on top and LITERALLY watched the guy scrape the leftover hummus from the drag and plopped it on my plate, and did the same with my guy, only to witness the guy behind us get a nice scoop from the heap and was offered toppings on his order (we did not get the same offer). Again, not trying to make anything of what we saw, we carried on. We also noticed that the lady in front of us ordered the same thing we did (2 1/2 chickens combos) and the guy behind us a wrap but some how both of their portions were significant larger then ours. We got to the cashier who wasn't very nice and ordered drinks. We were given PLASTIC cups when both people before and after us received GLASS ware!!! I am clearly upset but I am being asked by my guy to keep calm. Our $28 ordered turned into $50 really fast and we still are not sure what we were charged for considering our much smaller than usual portion sizes and sizes compared to the customers before and after us and when I asked, I was given a nasty look and handed a receipt that didn't explain much (keep in mind, the lady before us had the EXACT same thing and paid less than $30). We pay and I am forced to "not make a scene"! Well, here comes the ultimate INSULT! We watched both gentlemen (black jacket and I suppose another manager) walk around the restaurant and offer EVERY SINGLE TABLE that did not have a black or hispanic person sitting, a cup of tea. One table had the pleasure of not even being offered but surprised by the gesture when it was delivered to them. I AM BEYOND UPSET AT THIS POINT. 4 cups delivered to the table next to us (2 white males, 2 white females), 3 to the table in front of us (1 white male, 2 white females and a child) and 2 cups delivered behind us (2 asians). I have never experienced the feeling I was feeling in that moment. Even the guy with the wrap got offered a cup but he refused. This guy walked to one table offered, passed by our table (looked me in the face) and went to the next table and offered then passed the table with the 3 young ladies (1 black, 2 hispanics) and walked up to a table with 6 gentlemen of Indian decent and offered. I was mortified and sitting in disbelief. This has NEVER happened before. My assumptions were correct, and the feeling I had felt at my last visit was warranted. Honestly, I would've declined the offer since I am more of a coffee after dinner drinker but I was the mere fact that this undertone of racism was not hidden, IT CLEAR AND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE!! WE WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS LOCATION, EVER AGAIN!! What a let down to a place we enjoyed so much! ...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic Mediterranean restaurant, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of delightful.
