Pomodoro's Pizza — Restaurant in Coral Gables

Almost a year ago, I wrote the review below. Since then, food and service has been great. I normally order directly from them for delivery, but they've now increased their delivery fee to $5. So, we ordered from Uber, instead. The order arrived missing all beverages. Also, they placed the two orders (for two people) all in one pizza box along with the garlic rolls ordered. The result is a big mess of individual slices all piled up on each other. When I called, they blamed the Uber driver for the beverages being left behind. However, they didn't accept responsibility or apologize for the improper packaging of the slices and bread. They don't seem to care too much about the food once it leaves their premises. That's unfortunate as the food is actually excellent.

Previous review: Normally, the food and delivery are wonderful! I've never complained. However, today, this was not the case. I placed an order at 12:30pm. The site told me it would be delivered between 1:13pm and 1:28pm. At 1:36pm I called the "Slice" site for an update. They called the restaurant and were told it would take about 8 more minutes. At 1:52pm I called the restaurant directly and was told to give them two or three more minutes since I was the driver's second stop. I called the restaurant again. I just received my food at 2:03pm. Food was hot. So I asked the driver what happened - he said that the order had come in from "Slide" (the ordering system) but no one had confirmed it. Not sure what that means - but I'm hangry! UGH. No discounts? No tip refund? No special offer...

Everything in my order was disgusting. It takes a lot for me to not want to eat something, but after spending close to 50 dollars on a sub, pasta, and salad I was extremely dissatisfied. Every single item was weirdly sweet. The sauce on the sub was disgustingly sweet and tasted canned. As well as the meatballs on the sub being tiny and likely store bought frozen. The pasta had the same gross sweet sauce and the noodles were extremely over cooked and falling apart in pieces. After I put both the sub and pasta away because they were worse than the dining hall at UM, I figured the Greek salad I ordered would be okay, I mean it's hard to mess up a Greek salad. The chicken on the salad was bland and over cooked, the dressing was also WEIRDLY sweet again. And they was maybe 4 pieces of feta in total. I'm super disappointed and wish I never ordered here as I feel like with $50 I could've made everything much better in my own...

Had the club sandwich. I was expecting bacon strips but it came with bacon bits.bacon bits! not only that but it had very few bacon bits. That club sandwich made me sick. This place is a rip off. I've ordered from them about ten times. The fettuccine is pretty great. Their burgers are awesome. The fries too. The pizza is horrible super weird after taste. The cookies are flimsy.Stay away from their bread cus the sub i ordered had that same after taste as the pizza. super boring place. over priced and there food taste weird also the people you talk to on the phone are very rude. pretty lackluster.
