Went last night, Saturday around 7:30pm. We were one of only two tables.
Pros: Food was 10/10 and the lady Paula running the place was super friendly. Request the sexy carrots - they weren’t on the day’s menu, but we read they were good and they did not disappoint. Best carrots we’ve ever eaten! Crab cakes and pumpkin risotto with scallops were both solid.
Cons: Atmosphere. The room is barren - couldn’t tell if it used to be a small music venue or sports bar, but it almost still felt more like that than a restaurant. And even with ceiling fans running, it was a bit warm. Also, there’s no one dedicated to the front-of-house, so don’t expect prompt service. Paula spent most of the time back in the kitchen.
As they work to upgrade and decorate the space and hire more staff, this will become one of the best restaurants in town. In the meantime, we’ll keep going and encourage others to go because the food was amazing. They’re worthy of the support it will take to get them...

I had house made lemonade (so fresh and juicy), the cheek meat special, and we shared a crab cake. Hol-ee don’t pass on the crab cake. That’s something special. I also really enjoyed the cheek meat special. It was served almost pot roast style with roasted carrots and mashed potatoes and greens. As my friend said “the carrots have meat essence”. They did. Deliciously so. My vegetarian friend got the veggie offering which was an unctuous pumpkin risotto, a hearty potion that even came home with her for later.
Call ahead as they don’t seem to have a set menu yet but their mission to feature local farm to table fare is very...
Read moreWe came here for brunch for our anniversary, and it was the best brunch we’ve had in Corpus in a long time. I got the omelette and my husband got the biscuits. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The biscuits were scratch made with Vital Farms eggs, caramelized onions, bacon jam, house made ricotta, and house grown microgreens. Love that the ingredients were locally sourced including the veggies in the omelette. Can’t wait to try their...
