My experience with Let them Eat Cake was less than pleasant. Not only did they mess up our wedding cake, they have insanely horrible customer service. This bakery dropped the ball when they scheduled our wedding cake for the wrong day. An hour before our ceremony on our wedding day my wife was scrambling around on the phone with them trying to figure out what happened. Mind you my wife confirmed the date with the bakery the week of the wedding . They did the best they could and brought us a cake which we would've just let go and got past it despite the fact that it was not 1. the design we paid for 2. not even the flavors we paid for. It was the fact that the cake looked awful and unpresentable. The cake was leaning to the side and already falling apart before we even had a chance to cut into it. Not to mention our guest actually brought me a piece of raw cake. There is no way I can justify spending that much on a cake that was nowhere near what we were expecting you would think as a business they would take more preventative measures so issues like this will not happen. All we wanted was to meet in the middle with the owner that following week to see what we can do and the daughter immediately got defensive and just down right rude with my wife. She literally told my wife it was our fault for not confirming with the bakery an hour before the day of. My wife mentioned how we were not satisfied and did not agree with what we paid and the daughter literally told my wife " It's not our job to make sure you are satisfied." Overall we finally got to speak with the owner and work towards a solution but it has been an unforgettable ugly experience. If you want to spend your hard working money I suggest you spend it on a business who truly values customers otherwise you just might end up regretting your decision...
Read moreI am struggling to even give them one star. We ordered a two tier cake for my dad's 50th birthday celebration and received a HORRIBLE cake. The last picture is an idea of what we asked for but with a few adjustments as seen in the email below. We received what is a backwards "2" to be a "5" and with the misspellings of "Feliz Cumpleaños" like seriously? They can at least look it up and to make matters worse its only a one tier cake. When I spoke to Michelle about how my cake was wrong as it was not a two tier cake she said she quoted me for the cake she gave me and that she didn't know I wanted a two tier cake, however the email says otherwise, I showed her what I wanted in the picture, and she responded with each cake would be $55, and she just needed the flavors" So then i responded with I want the "BOTTOM TIER flavor vanilla and TOP TIER flavor pineapple" as seen in the email. How does this not mean I want a two tier cake?! If i mentioned it and showed a PICTURE! I have no idea how there was any confusion when placing this order. Michelle answered very rude as she then said "Oh well what is in the picture would have been $225 not $55" and chuckled after as if I wouldn't have been able to pay for what I asked! I placed the order on September 29 to be picked up on October 4th, she said she needed 3 days to prepare the cakes, assuming she would have the way I asked, she did not have the number "50" standing and her excuse was "the humidity didn't give the paste enough time to dry". I was extremely disappointed and extremely offended with this...
Read moreThis place is awful!! I sent a picture of the cake I would like to have made. There seemed to be NO PROBLEM with my request. After paying $60 for the cake I realized it was completely amateur. When I called and asked to speak to the person who made my cake the person on the phone says “ummm okayyy”. When I spoke with the “baker” I explained there were things missing on my cake. No star, helmet on the side of “cowboys”, not as many stars on the side and there were no numbers on the lines (the lines all around were sloppy and you could see all the fingers on the goal post. She proceeded (with an attitude I might add) to give excuses. When I told her none of that was mentioned to me when I made the request, had it been I could’ve looked else where. With the attitude continuing, I asked “are u the manager?” She said “I’m the owner, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!” Then after she mentioned that my only options would be to drive all the way back and have it fixed (which I don’t even think she would know how) and have my family and friends wait on our dinner reservations, or get “store credit” and not have a cake for this birthday I told her that was ridiculous and I would never be going back so store credit would be useless. Needless to say I seriously don’t think this place will last. Don’t waste your money. You can get a better presentable cake from a home baker (or ANYWHERE else) and at a...
