Paddy's on Main — Restaurant in Covington

Dear Paddys... its not me. It's u :(. Im a karaoke lover. I karaoke all around ky and cincy. So when I heard about ur karaoke night I HAD to come bless the stage with my girlies. It was an unpleasant surprise to find out that u all play a FULL SONG in between EVERY single karaoke performance. Not because people are dancing. Just because that is the flow of what is done in this establishment. It makes karaoke feel like im being held captive. And i hate it. I dont know why the line of karaoke singers aren't able to sing back to back like at other places. But its for this reason me and my group of karaoke folks cannot return. We like to sing 🎶 🎤 🤗. But my group of 6 singers became the flow of 12 singers with a song in between each of us. Bad form for folks who just wanna sing.

Karaoke starts at 9pm for those who want to come check it out. The place is cute. Got an outside patio area to chill in. And two rooms inside the bar as well. Not many places to sit in the karaoke room. There's a long booth against the wall with small tables and thats it. But most definitely be forwarned... u will be waiting to sing due to this flow. We asked the kj if this one singer one full song flow would continue all night and were informed it would because thats how it is...

3 Strikes — We are out.

I’ve desperately tried to patronize this new bar near my apartment. Unfortunately, Paddy’s will no longer receive any money from me. Firstly, a bouncer sprayed fire accelerator on open flames just as my girlfriend walked out the door. When a gust of breeze kicked up, the flames hit her face and singed her eyelashes! Accidents happen and no real harm, so we came back for another try. After closing tab, we find that it was closed with an exceptionally large gratuity added. When I approached them about this, the owner said, that didn’t happen and that the tab was exactly what it should have been. Unfortunately I didn’t keep receipt. Lastly, and most recently, some friends and I were having a few drinks and decided to play some touch tunes. My friend paid extra, as many do, to skip the “queue” and play the song he wanted. It must not have been to the owners taste as he skipped the song straight away. What kind of bar owner doesn’t let his customers utilize and control touch tunes? He doesn’t care about customers or his neighbors for that matter. Bourbon Haus now claiming the owner “terrorized” their business. Seems fitting given what...

Okay so I'm posting this review again on my secondary Google account because the owner wanted to be a smartass about my first one star review. To the owner: I gave the "food" 4 stars assuming that mean drinks as well, since there is no option to rate the drinks separately. I had no reason to complain about the drinks. Bartenders were fine as well. The whole place was neat but there were too many unwelcome and creepy interactions by both your security guards and other customers there. I understand as the owner, it's not your fault. But nevertheless, this is not a "come as you are" place. Felt like I had to watch my back and dismiss too many inappropriate efforts of socialization by completely inhebraited clients or creepy security guards. But I do appreciate you reporting my last review to Google like a child. Clearly not the type of business or business owner I ever want to support or continue interacting with. Can't even take one loss even though your business is over...
