The Red Bird Deli — Restaurant in Covington

This place is frigging AWESOME! It has a laid back atmosphere, which I dig, and the food was all excellent. I took my family here and got to sample a lot. My wife got the chicken salad sandwich which was fresh and full of goodies. I usually don't like chicken salad that has a lot of stuff in it, but I ended up really liking this. The smoked drummies were a great value @ $2 a piece, but the real hero was the steak sandwich. It was absolutely amazing. Fresh quality ingredients and a secret sauce that was pleasantly unexpected. It really made it stand out from other cheese steaks over had. I did make a mistake in letting the kids sample it, because it was gone in 30 secs! I had to order another one! Lol

Anyway, great owners, amazing food, and killer food. This place is a hidden gem for sure. I've already gone back within a week to try the double burger. I'll let you...

Visiting from Chicago on business and stopped into this (relatively newly opened) restaurant for a quick dinner. For all of you all who live in the area - you have an absolute gem here. PEOPLE SHOULD BE PATIENTLY WAITING IN LINE FOR THIS CHEESEBURGER. Legit AF and honestly the best I’ve had in all the years I’ve been coming to the Cincinnati area. Stopped in a couple times recently for lunch and the food is great.

First time, I had the Red Leg on a bed of fries. Super tasty, spicy, smoked chicken drum covered in tasty sauce on a pile of fries. Only note, is that the sauce was a little vinegar forward for my taste, but that’s just me. The other sauce was great.

Today I had the double burger. Delicious, simple double smash. Exactly what I want when I order a burger.
