Rude bar workers ; understanding security. Friend got kicked out / banned for not tipping on her 1st drink of the night; despite me tipping more than 10% for the both of us under a separate order when I order I tipped 95% on 1 drink. ($8.00) We understand the importance of tipping but to publicly shame and then ban people who have only visited twice ever with a large group that is tipping on behalf of the entire group is really unwelcoming. Especially considering I tipped the bartender that was pressed over .70cents (10% of her order!). The very same night (I’m the DD). Context; April 20th 2023 was our first visit where I tipped $8 on one drink and on the 22 what we as a group experiences was very uncalled for and not professional. I wandered in on an 87° afternoon after work and encountered IMMEDIATE service, an ICY COLD beer! I was informed that it was happy hour with drink specials and half price appetizers. I finished beer #1 in no time,ordered another and asked about the food specials. I decided on the pretzel sticks with queso. They came a short time later and I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!!! I've NEVER experienced pretzels like these! Buttery,crispy,salty and like cotton candy in lightness and mouth feel ! Service was attentive without being overbearing. Ordered one of their specials, hamburger/Fries, the burger was excellent, fries were hot. Waitress was very friendly, this place reminded me of Cheers where everyone seemed to know your name, without the trendy decor. At 1st glance you would think this place was a dive, but I think it may very well be one of the best kept secrets in Covington. Try it for lunch, I will return again. I hear it gets very busy in...
