Worst breakfast place in Cranberry. They donāt steam the milk for the āhotā drinks so all of our drinks (coffee, tea, and hot chocolate) were luke warm/cold from the iced cold milk they poured into them. We wanted to sit outside since it is a beautiful warm day but the chairs were all wet from the morning dew and not wiped off. My Avocado Toast was inedible. It was an extremely thin layer of avocado covered in huge halved cherry tomatoes that were sour/bitter and then covered in shredded cheese. I couldnāt even taste any avocado. When the waiter brought out the oatmeal she looked at it apologetically and asked if we wanted milk for it since it was so dry. We said yes and after 5 minutes of her not coming back I told the woman at the counter and she reached into the fridge to give us ice cold milk to pour on the already cold oatmeal. Also there was no side of fruit with it as stated on the menu, just some blueberries thrown on top. My one daughter ordered chocolate chip pancakes and they brought out plain. My other daughters tried to order apple caramel and banana foster crepes but they said they didnāt have either. We waited for over 30 minutes for our food even though there were only 2 other tables of two in the restaurant. The woman waiting next to us asked them to bring out her food in a to-go container since she was going to be late for an appointment. They didnāt offer her any explanation or apologize to that woman. This was our first time here but we wonāt go back. Even if the food is normally better the service was so disappointing. Not one worker greeted us or even smiled when they took or brought our orders. No one apologized for the wait, messing up our order, or even when they told us they didnāt have two of the items on the menu that we originally tried to order. The entire experience was awful. I was so excited to go here with my family for my birthday breakfast and now I just feel...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been to this location several times in the past (Cranberry Location) and have never been disappointed. Today I was thoroughly disappointed and probably will not go back. Second time that I've ordered the Eggs Benedict with filet tips. First time was fabulous...today, barely edible. Let me be clear, I usually only post positive reviews and this may only be my 2nd negative one. When I got there I asked the gentleman if Ben was in the back cooking. He told me no, that Ben and he used to work together and Ben brought him on board at this location. Fast forward. The eggs benedict were lukewarm, at best. It is supposed to be served on toasted brioche bun. Not toasted, not brioche, more like a small crostini bread topped with my lukewarm eggs. It's supposed to be served with house-made hollandaise sauce. I think it was in a squirt bottle and it was squirted across the eggs...not even warm. I raved about this place and took my friend there today who ordered the eggs benedict florentine and said he had never seen hollandaise sauce presented like this. His food was lukewarm, as well. I ordered one cannoli, to go, because I've had them in the past. Usually big with a very tasty filling inside and probably was the best I had ever had. This one was much smaller and I took one bite and promptly threw it out at home. I always love to support local places...but this experience closed the door for me on Bartram House Bakery. Huge and pricy disappointment. I don't mind paying the price for delicious food. but $17.00 for my eggs benedict with filet tips with squirted hollandaise sauce on top that was barely edible is unacceptable. Cannoli was $3.00 and I threw that in the garbage. I am adding a photo from the FIRST TIME I went and the eggs benedict were delicious...so those who made it today (Gosh, I wish I took a picture), here's what you are supposed to be serving...NOT what you...
Read moreFantastic food, great staff, but operational decisions by management detract from a great experience. This bakery / breakfast /lunch place has wonderful food. My better half and I each had a build your own breakfast burrito: choose your own protein (ham, bacon, sausage or turkey sausage), vegetables and cheese and they wrap it up with scrambled eggs in tortilla for you. Omlettes, steel-cut oatmeal and eggs with a choice of protein and potatoes are available for all-day breakfast, along with various sandwiches, salad and wraps. The star of the show are the baked goods, cakes, pastries, danish, croissants, even cannoli. I had a danish - and what a danish! A buttery croissant-like pastry, a decadent pastry cream with cream cheese and vanilla, and fresh strawberries! My better half had a Raspberry Entrement - a white sponge disk, with a dome of raspberry mousse with a center of raspberry jam, and a white chocolate shell over it! As I said, the food was great. As for the operational issues: there seems to be an aversion to trays. This might sound minor, but consider. The way this place works is you go down a line with a display of the baked good and you will get your pastries on dessert plates with paper coffee cups. If you order entrées, you sit and they put a number on the table. For me, I was trying to juggle the 2 dessert plates and coffee back to the table. For servers it literally means a train of servers to bring food to the table. For those bussing the tables it means no tubs to...
