MilkShake Factory Cranberry — Restaurant in Cranberry Township

Hi, so my daughter and I make it a thing to get milkshakes on girls nights and every time it is perfect that’s why we come back. But tonight, not good at all. I ordered my cookie dough and her cookies and cream our usuals. When the lady handed us our order, she gave me a cookie dough fudge. I said I’m sorry that’s not what I ordered, I ordered just a cookie dough. So she looked at me confused took it back and remade. When she handed me the new, she said “just to let you know we don’t have a plain cookie dough on the menu it’s only a cookie dough fudge. I said was yes you do because that all I order and my daughter and I are here once a week at least.” Then when I get in my car, I tasted my milkshake and she did not put any chocolate chips in it. So it was basically vanilla ice cream with a couple of chunks of cookie dough at the bottom. Super disappointed. Will not have her wait on us again if we even decide to return. Date of visit was...

I came in last night to get my daughter a milkshake. While the shake itself was good, the customer service was unacceptable. When I declined to leave a tip—something I don't do at counter-service establishments—the employee behind the register gave me a dirty look, then turned around and loudly announced to the rest of the staff, in a sarcastic tone, “No tip!”

This behavior is completely unprofessional. Regardless of whether or not a tip is left, it is entirely inappropriate for employees to comment on it—let alone shame a customer publicly. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry as a server, and so have my children, and we all understand that tipping is for service, not for simply handing over an order at a counter.

This experience left a very bad impression, and I won’t be returning. Management needs to seriously consider how their staff is interacting with...
