It Is by no coincidence that Burgatory sounds like purgatory. And I wish someone would have prayed me out of there! We walked in as a party of seven and were seated right away. Half of us were Seated on bench seats, they were the lucky ones the other half were seated in these metal chairs that were the most uncomfortable chairs I've ever sat in. Our waiter was aware this was our first time at this restaurant yet did not give us very much information. We were there a total of 1 hour and 35 minutes. And that was just because we had to wait that long. We were not there talking with each other over our food because we couldn't hear each other it was so loud and noisy! Our food took around 45 minutes to come out. When our food arrived the orders were wrong I was supposed to receive jalapeno cornbread and I received fries my daughter was supposed to receive fries, and she received potato chips. We had no silverware and one napkin a piece. We had to ask for silverware and when the waiter brought some he only brought one packet and then we had to get him to go back and get us some more. When he brought a straw for drinks he gave us two, and then he had to go back and get some more. I don't know if he was new but he was not trained very well. They are supposed to be all about the burger yet our burgers were very Bland, a piece of tasteless meat in between two buns. Was definitely not a good experience and I'm sorry that I took my out of town guest there. They serve burgers which are big but they are also expensive for what you're getting. And you get hard chips as a side. If you want anything else that's extra-fries are extra, whatever side that you want is extra. If you do build a burger you're going to pay a crazy amount for a burger alone. They start at 15 or so dollars just for the meat and then you have to add the bun, the rub, the sauce. My daughter did the build-a-burger she said she tasted no seasoning on it and there was probably a quarter size sauce on top of it. Then when it was time for us to pay the bill we waited for him to come back to pick it up and he didn't show. After about 10 minutes when he knew we were all ready to go and sitting there waiting, I had to go find our waiter who I could see was in the back with all the other waiters standing around talking and laughing and joking. Not a great experience! No thank you will not eat...
Read moreUnfortunately this has been the worst experience in the years we’ve been going. Waited 15mins before our server even came over to greet/get drinks. Then gave the toddlers cups without lids after we specifically asked. Of course one of them ended up spilling all over the table, after 10 mins or so the server finally came back so we could ask for napkins to clean up, She came back quickly with those. I don’t think we got to place our food order until 30mins after arriving. The elk burgers were good but messy, would have been nice if we had napkins with our meal. Our food order was wrong, one of the children’s burgers was suppose to be no cheese, they both had cheese. Finally it was time to order the milkshakes. One of the main reasons why we come. I requested no whip cream and to go cups, they all had whip cream on top and no to go cups. After she took back the shakes to fix she brought them back and my normal size shake was enough to fit in a small cup AND it had no brownies, it was the same size as the small. The shakes use to be thick and so good. At this point we just wanted to get out of there. It was our child’s birthday and they had a sparkler in hers and it was free. So that was nice…. But that’s about it. The restaurant was so slow, there was hardly any customers there, seemed to be plenty of staff.. We spent $73 for a family of 4. It was pretty disappointing overall. I remember Burgatory being so amazing and a fun experience. Not sure when or if...
Read moreMy husband and I love Burgatory to start this review…. But this is by far the worst burgatory I have ever stepped foot in. The service is horrible. I ordered one milkshake at when we first sat down. After our food came out my husband made a nice comment to see where the milkshake was. The waitress said she would put it in because she forgot it. Then 20 minutes go by we finish our food…. She says it will be out. 10 more minutes go by and I ask for the check cause we are done and I have a crying 2 month old. I assumed she didn’t put it on the check cause she never ever brought it or said anything about it. Wow was I wrong she still charged us for it. I had to call her back over after she rang us out to say how legal it is to charge someone for something they never received. She started arguing and said I would want it to go (she never asked that). I said no and she said she will take it off. I asked for the manager politely. He was absolutely useless… he only refunded the shake and didn’t do anything else for this ridiculous situation. Do not go here… management doesn’t care about their customers at all and will allow their employees to charge you for services they didn’t provide. (Top it off they brought the shake out in a normal glass as we walked out the door and said to stay 5 more minutes and they will put it in...
