On a NOT busy Sunday afternoon, I came in with a friend with about 30 minutes to kill. We both ordered drinks and a bakery item. Drinks came out. Bakery items did not. We took turns going back up to the counter to inquire. She eventually got hers. I spent the remaining time standing at the counter waiting for mine while two more customers ended up without their food next to me too. One lady's husband actually came inside from the car twice to ask what was taking so long. The baristas ignored us completely for a while, such that it was obvious we never would have received our food if we had sat down to wait. When I inquired again, more directly, about 20 min in at this point, all three employees replied either that food was not their station or that they were too busy filling to-go orders (this is not a drive thru location) and they would get to all the food "in a minute." In other words, they had decided that filling drink orders for customers who hadn't even arrived at the store yet was more important than completing the orders for people who had been standing there waiting for an excessive time. 10 minutes later, all three of us got our food orders. 30 MINUTES to get a chocolate croissant, and I had zero time left to enjoy my order or the company of the friend I came with. I went in and explained the situation and showed her my order, and the women there said they could remake my order, I showed her the 3 drinks and the 2 meal items I bought. She then proceeded to tell me that she could only make me the drinks because my order is too big and she said it in a rude tone. I tried to be understanding because it was my fault but I said âI canât even get the lemon loaf I was really looking forward to thatâ she then said âyou can paid for it..â not like I already paid for it so I am not paying for it again. I asked her how long it would take only because I was in a rush to get to work thatâs why I placed the online order to begin with, but she said âhe is working on it nowâ again in an rude tone. So I waited and waited and it took 20 mins, again I understand itâs my fault but if she would have told me it would have been that long I would have told her thank you for my help but I am just going to get a refund because I canât wait thatâs long.
