DO NOT EAT HERE! I grew up by this location for 20+ years, and it always had really great food & service. Fast forward to 12 years later when i revisited my favorite childhood restaurant. Dried out, heat lamp tasting roast beef. Roast beef looked very ragged, not sliced. Thankfully i ordered 2 half pound french dips with no bun and they gave me the au jus still or it would've been inedible. They took forever to put in my order also; like they had never had an order without a bun before. My husband ordered 2 brisket sandwiches with buns and his meat was very dry & gross as well. Luckily i ordered 2 dips so we had 2 au jus. TWO HOURS AFTER EATING MY ROAST BEEF, I HAD SERIOUS DIARRHEA FOR FIVE HOURS. The arbys was the only thing i ate all day (i fast). My husband did not... so the roast beef was the culprit. This visit was at 8pm march 4th, 2022. Once i go back to my car I'll be grabbing my receipt from this exchange and doing the survey. Very disheartening to experience such horrors when i expected nostalgia.
Side note- 2 males working drive thru had beautful, large afros; but no hair net encasing them. 😟
Second side note- I managed a fast food restaurant literally one block away from this Arbys location, so I'm aware that things happen and all that, but this food should not have...
Read moreI don't expect much from fast food. Especially through the pandemic. Arby's though has always delivered a consistent amount of quality, with above average service. Not this one though. Counter service offered no greeting and spoke in a muffled manner to not be understood. It took forever to get our food, in a very quiet midday visit. All of the people working were talking and goofing off, so loud that's all we could hear. It was so dirty there, at least two of them should have been cleaning. Every food item seemed either old, or carelessly prepared. From the curly fries that were 35% broken pieces and crumbs, 15% random other items from the fryer, and the rest soggy. To the worst beef and cheddar I've ever had, to the Mac and cheese that looked, smelled and tasted like it had been microwaved for at least 10 minutes. I don't normally review fast food, but I was so disappointed on how hard Arby's dropped the ball. I'll certainly never visit that location...
Read moreI am definitely a bit of an old soul, a fan of how things used to be overall vs. now, and a total Arby's nerd. On our way to this location, I was trying to tell my daughter about how Arby's used to have big cowboy hat signs that lit up outside of the restaurant but that most were gone now. I hadn't been in the Crystal area in a long time but hoped this one still had their big sign that reminds me so much of better times gone by. We turned the corner and there it was! We even took a picture with it. What was even better; we went inside and it was clean and mellow, to my surprise. The GM, Jesse (BY FAR MY FAVORITE ARBY'S EMPLOYEE EVER!) really rounded out our experience. He was very nice, talked with us a bit, then warmed up a cookie and gave it to us (prob my daughter) without telling us.
Keep it going, Jesse and Crystal Arby's! Thank you again for such a nice experience. It really matters to some people.
Oh, and don't let them take down...
