I’ve never had a bagel like this and it wasn’t my typical NYC bagel but I thought it was fantastic.
Wait time: 35 minutes at around 11am Saturday.
Price: $24 incl 20% tip for the everything bagel with lox spread and herbs, a slice of pear cake, and a coffee
Bagel was crispy on the outside and chewy. Not a fluffy bagel but I enjoyed the different style. It really focused me on the flavor, which was yeasty and rich and paired well with the light herby toppings. Perfect amount of cream cheese and lox flavor. Herbs are a lovely touch. It’s messy and a bit hard to bite through but well worth it and part of the experience.
The cake was just delightful. It was bright and lightly sweet, a touch of sour, nicely whipped cream cheese frosting, and perfectly ripe pears topping. Just wonderful.
Note that they claim their coffee is so good and fancy that it doesn’t need any milk, so they don’t provide any! I was skeptical of this, but it was true. Give the coffee a few minutes to cool down and you’ll be met with a perfectly balanced, complex cup of coffee. I have to admit that I still want the option of a dash of oat milk in my coffee even if it’s brewed by Jesus himself. But they still had me slurping the whole thing down easily.
Very friendly service. Considering how busy it was and how much care goes into each bagel, I think the wait time and price was...
Read morePreordered bagels and cream cheese to go. If u aren't use to Montreal type bagels they r quite a bit different than regular NYC kind. Enjoyed the sesame bagels and cream cheese that I pre-ordered, but might b better to eat a sandwich on site at the sidewalk tables. Brought them to bro in the valley and they were rather difficult and messy to slice with seeds falling off everywhere. (B sure to slice over sink.) I bought several extras. If u eat them more than a 24 hours later and follow the instructions given u have to freeze unsliced than immerse in water before u re-bake for 10-12 min. Now even more difficult to slice cuz they r hot. So if u r looking for a quick toasted bagel from your freezer these r not it. I usually get my bagels from other places pre-sliced so they're super easy to toast and go out of the freezer. Staff was very nice, but even with pre-order appointment I still had to wait about 10 or more minutes for my order to be ready and I waited a few minutes for someone to come to the counter and help. For me the coffee didn't taste that special as I...

These bagels are high quality, crunchy-sourdough forward, creative, and are a full and delicious meal. They are a type of bagel where the cream cheese coverage is a la Goldilocks; not too much, not too little, just right.
The Family Meal bagel is a solid go-to (simple nova spread), Grandpa Sam is what you want if you're looking for your lox fix, and the Deanna Michelle is perfect for vegetarians looking for a pop of flavor and the perfect amount of crunch.
I, for one, and am ecstatic to see a place like this in the neighborhood!
Well done Mustard's, you have a...
