Love, love, love Paris Baguette! I am often fortuitous in finding a Paris Baguette in my travels and this time in Palo Alto was no different. After grabbing some dinner nearby, I was walking to get some bubble tea when I saw the familiar logo. Of course, I had to stop in.
This Paris Baguette is pretty big, with both indoor and outdoor seating. I looked around at the baked goods but eventually ordered a slice of green tea chiffon cake and a green tea latte. If you're not familiar with Paris Baguette, they have bread, pastries, desserts, cakes, and beverages. Some of the popular bread options are choux cream, garlic cheese baguette, and cream cheese donuts. Pastries include fruit pastries, croissants, eclairs, and twist pies, to name a few. Cakes are Paris Baguette's forte. I especially love their green tea chiffon and blueberry chiffon cakes. They also have buttercream cakes, cheesecakes, tiramisu, and much more. You can even find sandwiches and soups here. Beverage-wise, expect everything from coffee, cappuccinos, and lattes to smoothies, hot chocolate, and tea.
I enjoyed my green tea chiffon cake and green tea latte at a table inside. There is a long communal table in the middle, with tables flanking both sides of the bakery. It's very clean and very bright. The chiffon cake was perfectly moist.
Service was a bit iffy. The person who took my order did not get my chiffon cake, nor did he ask someone else to do it for him. In the end, I had to go back up to the counter and ask someone else to get my...

We LOVE Paris Baguette! Hereâs why:
First, we are ardent âfoodiesâ and travel all over the world, including Paris, so we are able to benchmark many things.
Our son lives in South Bay and we are always thrilled to visit him from Connecticut.
On most days we start our food journey at Paris baguette at whichever location we happen to pick that day. We found that there are some awesome pastries and sandwiches that are available in ALL locations, but interestingly enough, each location has some items that others may not have; and that is great, since it gives each location a different signature. We have many favorites, and here are some: Croissants (of course), the classic Pan Raisin, Crab Croquettes, Creme-filled rolls, Raisin Bread, Pastrami sandwich, the best Egg sandwich (with cucumber) weâve had, yummy Broccoli-Cheddar mini-Pizza, and lots more!!!
If only they could expand to the East Coast that would be phenomenal ⊠(pssst ⊠we live in Hartford, CT)
Past review from October 2021 10/17/21 â Loved this bakery, had great Croissants and other many other sandwiches and fantastic desserts! The first we saw was in South San Francisco. Later, we found that these wonderful shops are everywhere in the South Bay area for which we are...
Read moreI have been to many PB stores in several countries.
Nicely decorated interior, maintained well and clean. Good selection of pastries and sandwiches and coffee. This is still a good place to buy a cake for a social gathering although the prices are getting very expensive.
For efficiency and consistency the coffees are made by a machine and not handmade.
Today the service was not warm and friendly. The staff member seemed a little lethargic. I bought a ham croissant which Iâve had at other locations and it is usually quite good. The package says they recommend toasting it. The staff did not offer, I had to ask. It was not warm all the way through.
Wi-Fi does not work! When you try to connect, the error appears: Unable to join "Paris Baguette Cafe" The network is temporarily unavailable. Try again later. I informed the staff and ask them to reset it, but they refused to take any action and said âmaybe it will be fixed in a few weeksâ.
From an ownerâs perspective, I understand the appeal of a cafĂ© where customers enjoy a coffee and pastry, and leave rather than camp out for hours with their laptops and do not buy very much. But if that is the case, they should simply disable the Wi-Fi network and take down the sign saying...
