Apparently this Paris Baguette has opened recently. I was visiting a friend in Garden Grove and while we were out doing errands decided to stop in. I've been to several in my neighborhood in South Bay and found them to be very good quality a lot of variety and very good service. Unfortunately today's experience was not what I've come to expect. I brought my friend to introduce her to this establishment. On the plus side it was very clean and there was a nice assortment of pastries in the case as well as refrigerated items. My friend chose a raspberry almond croissant. I had a breakfast sandwich and a pastry. We were pleased with our food items. The issue was with the beverages. I had an iced coffee which was fine. My friend ordered a hot hazelnut decaf with half and half added. It was lukewarm. I brought it back to the counter and asked them to add more hot coffee and was told it had to be brewed. That took several minutes and then they asked if they could pour out some of the existing coffee and put more hot coffee in and I said fine. Brought it back to her and again it was not hot. This time she went up to discuss with them. Perhaps they're not using hot enough water when they brew their coffee? I've never encountered this issue at the Paris Baguettes I frequent. Long story short it took a while to the address the issue. They refunded her coffee but did not offer her another one. The customer service was apathetic at best and the manager was in the back talking to other people and not wanting to come out and address the situation. Very disappointing, especially because it was my friend's first experience with this eatery. Fortunately other locations I visit are not like this. Hopefully they will take a look at their customer service...
Read moreSitting in your new location on 5373 Katella Ave, Los Alamitos., Ca (although Google states it is in Cypress?). We love your pastries, however, last week we came to do a little work after we enjoyed our pastries. To our surprise, we were approached at our seats at 7:50pm and were told that they were closing at 8:15pm. I did note to them that the website and Google state that the store closes at 9pm. The young gentlemen then stated, "oh Ok let me go check." He then went behind the counter and spoke to a young girl and then came back and told us that "Dine is closes at 8:15pm but the register is open until 9pm for take out orders only, not Dine in."
I want to state that if this is true, your website and Google are both incorrect and misleading. Had we known this, we would have went somewhere else to be able to sit a little longer and get some work done. I was also exited to bring my elderly mother-in-Law for the first time, raving to her that this is a really good place. I and my wife have been to the Brea location and had a great experience there and we stayed until they closed at 10pm, not being asked to leave prior to their closing time.
There were a total of 3 workers in this location. 2 young men and one young lady.
Please let me know what truly are your hours and how this can be addressed if we were unfairly asked to exit early. I also emailed your contact inbox but haven’t...
Read moreI have a few concerns regarding the sanitation of this place. Today an older woman who goes by Sarah, was very rude and unsanitary. I couldn’t help but notice that she was standing on the platform where the loaf beads are, leaving foot prints near the pastries with the display opened. This was around 7:45 A.M. I came in for the usual Ham and Cheese pastry and was told to move because she was taking a picture of the area. She could have been nicer about it instead of just telling me to move out the way. I was with a friend and she caught the same woman rubbing her nose with a glove and then touching the pastries with...
