While I have been a long time fan of Tea Rabbit since they first opened and were called Gypsy Tea my last visit i was very disappointed. I love the fresh loose leaf teas with creative names and was even a member of the tea club. Yesterday I came in and was shocked not only that their prices increased but the ounces they provide in the pouches decreased. When i entered I was greeted by a sweet and bubbly employee, however when my daughter and I were looking at the refillable containers the owner was annoyed and requested we ask for help. I had a glass refillable container which I bought to save me money on the selected refills. I use to be able to pick whatever flavor I wanted as a refill. This time the owneru asked what my original glass container had which was a earl gray tea. I told her I loved the flavor but wanted to try something different and she told me I could only get a refill on whatever my original container had in it. Which I never knew and wasn’t informed of until now that I couldn’t change it up. For the past 6 mnths I’ve been coming in and trying different refills without question. This time I was asked I had proof of the container. I told her it broke within the first day I had it because it was made of thin glass. Luckily Rabbit recently switched to tin refillable jars. However I noticed that they reduced the ounces from 3 to 2 ounces and the jar I bought was 2/3 empty. My daughter and I were so disappointed. I had buy the same earl gray tea that came in the original glass jar as the “refill” pouch and if I wanted to try spell bound tea I would have to buy a the tin. This was the tin that was over half empty. The owner was very pushy trying to get me to buy 5 packs of teas in order to save a few bucks. But why would I want to pay more $17 and up for a few ounces of tea? Even on their webpage it’s misleading because they do not disclose how many ounces a customer will receive. Probably because if they knew they too would think the prices are beyond unreasonable for what they are receiving! In the past the owner has been very sweet and knowledgable this time I found her to be rude, brash and pushy. I spent over $65dollars for a small tin (almost empty), a refill (2ounces) and small pouch of tea. The price went up and the value went down. Unfortunately I will be taking my...
Read moreI have been a regular here for going on three years now, and my only regret is not finding them sooner. Mrs. Kim has perfected the art of drinks- teas of varying caffeine levels (non-caff to very high), the first hot and cold chocolates you could find in Dahlonega (as well as the only flavored ones!), and seasonal apple cider that I'd commit misdemeanors for. She makes her recipes in her own kitchen, and the love that goes into them can be tasted. Truly. If you've never had a drink there. Do yourself a favor and get a nice large cup of anything you think sounds/smells good. For the occultists/pagans out there, this is also a pagan shoppe and sweet merciful goddess it is one of the most warm, welcoming places in Georgia (if not the whole South). The tarot packs available are amazing, the candles are wonderful and there are ritualistic tools available, they support local artists (Gypsy 's own Alexis in pretty teacup candles, and also a soap maker), and a little nook in the middle room you can sit and drink your tea in. Pleasepleaseplease PLEASE go visit Mrs. Kim and Alexis in the coziest store you'll ever find. I'll see...
Read moreThis place has great energy all together. The majority of the staff were extremely nice & pleasant to speak to. The main reason I’m rating this shop a 4 is because of a sales woman that approached my friends and I. She came off as friendly at first, until she came up to us a second time in the tarot section. I told her it was my friends birthday & I was going to get her, her first deck. She began to explain to us which cards to avoid & that she needed to get a beginner book/deck combination pack. I assured her that I was going to give my friend my beginners book so it wouldn’t be necessary. I get that she was trying to be acknowledgeable, but she was being pretty aggressive lol. She also corrected the way I was pronouncing my words, which personally I thought was rude. Once she got the memo that we weren’t interested in what she had to say she left. Personally I don’t like others telling you how to go about things, especially if you practice. I told my friend to choose whatever spoke to her and we would...
