I love Braum's! I visited so many of them, in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas. I moved to Dallas recently, and the Braum's on Inwood Road is the closest to me, so I have visited the place multiple times already. According to my receipts, I've been there on the evenings of March 2nd, 6th, and 13th.
The first time, we ordered a few things, including a Chicken Salad, but we got a Chicken Burger instead. Braum's is Braum's and I love their Chicken Burger! It was my fault for not checking what the cashier is inputting on the little screen. So whatever, it's fine.
Second time, we went through the drive-through and ordered a chicken salad, chicken dinner, and a few drinks. They asked me to pull forward and wait. After 10 minutes, I went inside, and they quickly apologized and gave me a bag of food. I went back to my car, and my wife asked about the drinks. So, I went back, and asked them for the drinks. Again, they apologized, gave me a small cup, although I ordered large; fine, whatever. I went back to the car, my wife tells me there is not salad in the bag. I go back in, a bit irritated, and ask them for a salad. They apologize and give me a chicken salad. The entire process took around 20-25 minutes, and I understand that there might have been a confusion, so... fine.
Third time, I ordered ice cream and a large Coke. I went through drive through, ordered, paid. At the window got my ice cream, they said "Have a great day!" and closed the window. I waited for my drink, but they just stared at me over the closed window. Haha! Yes, wow. So, I just took off, because I can get Coke anywhere, got bless capitalism.
I guess I am used to the service of the other Braums, but this location... wow! They aced the irresponsibility test. I assume they don't even realize that they are a mess, so I hope they read this and do something about it.
But on the other note, food was...
Read moreThey do not deserve to be rated 4.3 as a general overall, and my wife has been trying to call the phone for 30 minutes and no one has answered. In my opinion, the cashier needs to wash her ears, pay attention, or get more training. I order Triple with cheese, large fries, no salt, and a large coke. For my wife, number 7 is crispy chicken with cheese mayo and onions only, French fries, no salt, and a large root beer float more root beer than ice cream. But I did make the mistake of not checking the order in the bag because Braum's has good reviews, and everything should be fine, considering that they weren't even busy. Besides, I was exhausted after getting off work, so I just wanted to go home and rest. Here's what went wrong. As soon as I got to the window, the lady handed me a regular Root Beer Float instead of a large one, and when I asked about it, she got rude and said either take the root beer float or pay the difference. I told her I still wanted a large, but it didn't seem to register with her. So I said, screw this, I'm tired, and I just want to go home. I got home, and my wife asked where the Large root beer float was, so I told her. She got her food and noticed the Crispy Chicken did not have cheese and had tomato, onion, and lettuce. Her fries were cold. Now on to my meal, I ordered #3, and here I got #6 because the lady that took the order was not paying attention to what I wanted, and I asked for large fries with no salt, which I got Large Fries with salt on them. I had tons of jalapenos and lots of onions on the burger. It was impossible to eat it all. If anyone from Braum's responds to this review, here is the reference number for order 590593 at 6:35 pm. I am expecting nothing but this must be corrected training-wise, customer service-wise, and...
Read moreBURNT NASTY BURGERS, AN UPCHARGE & THEFT OF CHANGE! THIS PLACE IS AWFUL--AVOID IT IF YOU CAN. I purchased some burgers and the hamburger BUNS WERE BURNT TO A CRISP YET ALSO DISGUSTINGLY GREASY and the burger patties smelled off-- really gross, almost like dog food bad!!!
They also CHARGE $1.25 FOR A LARGE WATER and don't tell you that when you order through the drive-thru so you have to go into the restaurant if you want a refund.
And finally, THE FEMALE CASHER AT THE DRIVE THRU TRIED TO KEEP MY CHANGE WHEN I PAID IN CASH. Like, what? She returned the dollar bill change but assumed she could keep the coinage--she didn't ask or say she was out of change to return to me or request a donation to something--NOPE, just KEPT THE CHANGE, assuming that would be okay.
I mean, if I didn't have enough change when paying for my bill, would Braum's let that slide and give me my order anyway? I seriously doubt it! Thank goodness I asked for a receipt. When I paused, and took a look at what she returned to me, then corrected her, telling her she gave me back an incomplete amount, she looked NERVOUS. It took her at least another 5 minutes to figure something out, walking away from the register all together and finally returning and bending down by the register counter TO RETRIEVE CHANGE from somewhere else- -probably her purse?! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. IT'S THEFT THROUGH AND THROUGH AND NOT OKAY.
Seriously guys, shame on me for thinking I would treat myself with this impulse, purchase decision. AVOID THIS AWFUL BRAUM'S LOCATION, 3602 INWOOD AVE, DALLAS, TX 75209 (INWOOD AND LEMMON AVE) PLEASE!!!
