I'm giving Tower Club two stars just because I had a very bad experience tonight with the hostess and manager. I called on May 1st to reserve for Monarch party of six, 3 couples. One of the couples are from Tennessee visiting Dallas. Plan was to celebrate pre-mother's day. I told the hostess I would like to reserve the big table at the corner where the telescope is. She told me reservation was not allowed for that table as many members always wanting that table and the only chance for us to have that table is to come early as the table was first come first serve only. So to make the long story short, we showed up at 5:10pm, and we were first customer. The hostess sat us on the other side table. When I asked her why we were not seating at the big table when nobody is there yet, she told me because it is reserved. I asked her why told me reservation for that table is not allowed, she told me oh because it is for "party for 8". so I told her why you did not tell me if it's 8 people I could have gotten that table for us, I could have invited another couple. She did not answer me but told me oh I'm gonna call my manager. So the "manager" showed up, I explained what happened. Then "manager" told me that I got wrong information that the table was reserved and it is allowed for reservation. I told him that was misleading and what really pisses me off that I cancelled our itinerary for the rest of the day so we can be at Monarch early and get the big table. Hear me out " I cancelled our itinerary w/ my visitors so we can be there early to get the big table" as per their hostess instruction. I wish I got her name! The "manager" told me "I'm sorry you are upset" yes, I was very upset because the whole time we were there for almost 4 hours. That table was EMPTY!!! are you kidding me?? Again, EMPTY! nobody was there almost closing time. What's the deal? What's your rules? I felt like we were being discriminated because we are Asians. Also, I have been there before, this was my 3rd time and first time I was there I saw 4 people on that table. And, I don't think "manager" was really sorry because action speaks louder than words. He did not do anything to resolve...
Read moreLast night we attended an event at this establishment to which we paid about $105 for two VIP tickets. The event was Art of Celebration for New Years Eve 2017. We arrived at the front and paid $25 for valet. No issues, everyone was very pleasant and friendly. First thing that caught my eye was all the clothing that the women were wearing. I'm all about showing a little skin and being sexy but most of the outfits looked like they were meant for exotic dancers. The event stated it would be formal with dress code strictly enforced. I was wearing a full length gown showing tasteful cleavage while my fiancé was wearing his military dress blues. We expect it to be a more classy crowd I guess. More adult and tasteful. Even the waitresses were in basically velvet swimsuits. Well anyways we continued on up to the 48th floor. We were greeted nor directed by anyone. The music was so loud we couldn't even hear ourselves. 3 different music genres from 3 different areas were pulsing through the club. It was like a musical battle where they each must attempt to drown out the other to win. Maybe I had high expectations for what I thought the ambiance should have been. I listen to all kinds of music. I love music. I just expected some classical or even jazz. We made our way through the halls which were piled with garbage. Platters to be exact. Till finally we made it to where we could use our meal tickets. Our choices were hot wings, egg rolls, or quesidillas. Oh boy, at this point we were done. We arrived about 1045 and left at about 2320.
We were so incredibly disappointed because we got all dressed up for a formal event and spent that kind of money to be offered hot wings..... Our time in and out can be verified by receipts I'm sure since we did use valet. If anyone wants to contact me in regards to a follow up of any kind I'm all ears. I'm a very reasonable person but I just wish it was as advertised. I don't feel we got what we should have for the money that we spent. Anyways,...
Read moreI recently had the opportunity to visit this private club as a guest of a colleague who holds a membership, and it was a truly memorable dining experience. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt refined yet welcoming, with attentive service that matched the elevated setting.
We enjoyed a variety of beautifully presented dishes: • Chocolate dessert with ice cream and berries: A rich molten-chocolate cake crowned with a generous scoop of velvety vanilla ice cream, served alongside fresh berries and a swirl of whipped cream. The balance of deep cocoa richness, cool creaminess, and fruity tartness was spot on. • Filet with mashed potatoes and broccolini: Perfectly seared, juicy, and tender, the filet sat on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes with just the right amount of butter and a side of crisp-tender broccolini. Each element complemented the other, creating a classic yet elevated plate. • Tempura-style sushi roll: Lightly fried to a golden crisp, this roll was drizzled with spicy mayo and sweet sauce, topped with fish roe and scallions. The combination of crunch, tender rice, and flavorful fillings made every bite a standout. • Sashimi and sushi platter: A refined selection of fresh sashimi and neatly crafted rolls, beautifully plated. The fish was fresh and delicate, with sushi rice that held together perfectly. • Crab cake: Golden brown with a crunchy crust and moist interior, served with a grilled half lemon and creamy sauce. The charred citrus added brightness, and the sauce tied everything together.
Dining at this club was not just about the food — it was about the whole experience: elegant surroundings, attentive staff, and the privilege of enjoying such a meal in a members-only setting. I’m grateful to my colleague for sharing this experience, and it’s a place I would gladly return to if given the...
