As a regular customer at this coffee shop, I was deeply disappointed with my recent visit. Upon arriving, I asked if we could get a table and was informed that my dog , daughter and I needed to sit outside which I completely understood. We settled at an outdoor table, and a waiter named Dylan approached us for our order.
I requested a specific coffee with cold foam and vanilla. Dylan repeatedly asked about customization options in a condescending manner. When I specified almond milk, his attitude remained disrespectful. Frustrated, I ended up ordering a Diet Coke instead.
Dylan continued his passive-aggressive behavior, asking if everything was okay in a sarcastic tone. Despite being a loyal customer, he told me that they have the right to refuse service to anyone, making me feel unwelcome. His loud and unprofessional conduct, especially in front of my daughter and dog, was embarrassing.
When Dylan kept being condescending and disrespectful, I finally told him, "It's okay, we won't eat here. Don't worry about it." At that point, he accused me of being disrespectful to him and his manager. As my daughter, my dog, and I were getting up to leave, he loudly insisted that we weren't welcome and repeated that they have the right to refuse service to anybody. I kept asking what we did wrong, explaining that all I wanted was a customized coffee, but he continued to be rude. The exchange escalated with disrespectful words from both sides, and I ended up just leaving.
This experience has left me very disappointed. I've always enjoyed my visits and conversations with the baristas here, but this encounter was unacceptable. I hope management addresses this issue and improves their...
Read moreSuch a shame, because we've been here for brunch before & everything was great... Happy Hour on the other hand was very dissapointing. Kitchen closes at 3pm, so there's only spinach dip (which we ordered & was) & charcuterie board food wise after that time. Drinks specials seem good, but our espresso martinis took over 15mins to come out, even though it wasn't busy. The waitress brought us water & didn't check back on us again. Walked inside to order a second drink, the girl behind the bar seemed to be more interested in chatting up customers that actually doing any work. So after 5 minutes of listening to her chat, she finally acknowledged me, I asked her a question about a menu which she answered & walked away to make someone else's drink.. Another 5minutes passes and another girl comes up to take my order at which point I just close out as it's taking way too long to order 2 simple drinks. My husband goes in to validate parking ticket at Santender Tower Garage...the girl says she's not sure if the validation worked & to come back in case it didn't 🤦of course the validation didn't work & we had to pay $20 parking fee, because they close at 7pm & we were exiting garage a few minutes after that. Staff clearly needs more training. And just stick to brunch & don't bother staying...
Read moreDuring my three-night stay at the Sheraton Lancaster, I had breakfast here daily, and unfortunately, the experience was a frustrating one despite the appealing buffet spread. They do offer a buffet with a good variety — smoked salmon, fresh greens, seasoned potatoes, cheeses, breads, and more — which makes it a more economical and satisfying choice compared to ordering à la carte. The food quality itself was quite good, and the options were plentiful.
The real issue was with the logistics around my reservation. My breakfast was included in my original corporate booking, but because of the check-in mishap at the hotel, every single morning I had to spend nearly half an hour explaining to the staff that my breakfast was already paid for. This meant going through the same process daily: speaking with the restaurant staff, being sent to the front desk, then to the manager, and finally back again — all before I could actually sit down to eat.
While I appreciated the variety and taste of the buffet, the repeated hassle took away from the enjoyment. Management really needs to streamline communication between the front desk and the restaurant so that guests can enjoy their meals without unnecessary...
