I'm usually worry that establishments featuring cuisines outside their origin market won't be as good - but this Popeyes absolutely served! I expected it to be less modern and older-feel since it was a tenant space in a strip mall but walking in, I see it was completely renovated and featured touch-screen kiosks. I typically prefer human interactions, so the only reason this spot gets full marks from me is because of Renisha (I believe was her name, give her a raise!) welcomed customers and interacted with us in a way that was very accomdating. She also helped us when the kiosk didn't give us full options or was confusing. I even conversed in a very convinial manner with my fellow patrons in a third-place like way I could not have anticipated. There's no dine-in option, so when I got home the food was still warm (much of it hot), the sauce delicious, the chicken right and crispy, and even the blueberry lemonade was scrumptious - my favorite though was that mac' and cheese, which was the right kind of creamy and cheesy. I love their spicy chicken sandwich, but I have never (in the last 2 years) ordered here without having to wait (and I don’t mean a few minutes), having cold food, missing items, or getting attitude (or more like apathy) from the workers. Even when I order online and end up waiting 10 min past the promised time…still have to wait. And then they will put food in the pickup spots, names facing away from all the customers crowded into the 3-person lobby, and won’t even announce the name. If they don’t know this yet (and maybe it’s because these are first-time workers with abysmal management), they could make their lives much easier and work more enjoyable if they thought about how customers would like to be treated. I’m not even saying be sweet…just acknowledging someone, calling out names, making sure the food is all correct…haha naw that’s just silly and way too hard. Never mind.
