Daytona Pizza & Wing Co. — Restaurant in Daytona Beach

Great pizza!! Not what we expected, MUCH MUCH better!!! I usually go to Pizza King on A1A but the family was in town so we decided to eat IN a pizza joint. This place is a few blocks from my home but we had only gone here 1time before. The pros: there are games for the kids, a little worse for wear but there was Pac-Man, and Jenga, there was a pool table but it wasn't working. The food: we started with cheesy bites and I never got a pic of it- we demolished it too fast, but FRESH made cheesy bread rolls, yum!! The Antipasto salad came on a layer of pizza crust with olive oil and it was greens/tomatoes/antipasto ingredients. Not sure if there was salad dressing on it or not, it had a light flavor that was intriguing and good, not overly sauced. Then we ordered the 20" pizza, IT.WAS.HUGE!! I thought the 20" would be a regular pizza like an X-Large or large size; nope! It was the biggest pizza I've ever seen! It bust have been 2.5 FEET ACROSS! We got the chicken bacon ranch pizza. Wow! It was delicious! They gave us water and my grandson had IBC root beer. Hubby had an IPA.

The cons: the place needs an overhaul on decor and esthetics, fix the broken things that give fun things to do while there. Maybe a bit of spring cleaning. We never used the restrooms so I can't comment on that.

But the dough!! The guy was hand making the doughs, everything was cooked in that huge pizza oven. It was nice and warm when it was chilly out- with that pizza oven going.

Ordered online for a pickup. The order never reached and wasn't processed.

There was just one customer order in front of me, with about 4 pizzas. It took close to 45 min to get my order of two pizzas in my hands while I waited there for the only cook to complete each pizza one after one. It's simply amazing to see how someone can be so unhappy and still work and serve others. Wasn't sure how my pizzas are going to find out, if they do at all.

All my worries are vanished with the taste of wonderful pizzas here. The dough was fantastic, well made and really tasty. The toppings are as expected, and the wood fire roasted 🍠 taste is really 👍 awesome 👍.

If it's not for the taste and quality of the pizza, I wouldn't give this place anything more than two 🌟🌟. The place has very good ambience, casualness, and great ❤️ heart 💜 to it. Definitely worth a visit and check out their Vegan...

I agree with one of the previous reviews describing this place as a little "sketchy", but the service was really nice and the pizza was great! Fantastic crust! The Area 51 picqued my interest because the combination of ingredients isn't a common one I typically see at pizza places. (Tomato sauce, mozzarella, spicy sausage, jalapeno, ham, pineapple, pesto drizzle, and fried onion straws). I'm not sure if they were out or just forgot, but our pizza didn't come with any pineapple on it. I didn't bother mentioning it to anyone, because I figured pineapple would be better baked on the pizza rather than on the side. The sweetness would've been a nice touch. A 12" was perfect for splitting between 2 of us. They have bottled Mexican Coke, rather than fountain style with refills, heads-up.
