Daytona Taproom — Restaurant in Daytona Beach

Our first time in Daytona beach and were craving burgers. We went there and the food was phenomenal. Burgers and fries were good. My man got a Michelob Ultra draft and he said it was very warm. We don’t even complain so he just drank it. We got our bill and he said he wanted no smash sauce on it and the burger was supposed to come with it, and they charged for the smash sauce even tho it’s supposed to come on it, and he said he didn’t want it. But again we didn’t complain and just paid the bill tipped over 25%.

Since the food was so good, we decided to go there a again a couple days later. The service was so bad. We had the same waitress as the day before, she had green hair.

When she took our order she wrote NOTHING down. There was 3 of us with all customized burgers, and by the time she got to the third person she had to ask me again what I wanted because she forgot. As soon as she was done I said there’s no way she remembers all that.

I’ve been a waitress for 6 years so I understand mistakes happen and whatnot and I’m understanding when I go out cause I know how it is. She stood at the bar talking to people and being on her phone for most of the time. Whenever our food was ready, the other waitress there, also with green hair, brought our food out. One order was completely the wrong thing and so he said he didn’t order that so they had to remake it. The other order was messed up bc he asked for no smash sauce and got it, he wanted tomato and pickles and there wasn’t any on it. Literally was all wrong and he ordered fries and they didn’t bring them so he had to ask again, and by the time they came out he was done with his burger (that was wrong but he still ate it). When he told them about the fries he said that she didn’t write anything down. the other girl just rolled her eyes and said “yeah I do the same thing” and walked away. So y’all just be messing up ???

And the bathrooms were so disgusting it actually made me gag. This is just extremely disappointing because the food was so good but the service was awful and...

I’m not sure what this place is like during a non race weekend, and maybe that was the issue today. (I hope)

The good:

AMAZING People, everyone was so nice even though they were clearly understaffed and running ragged. Solid and diverse beer selection. There really is something for everyone.

The bad: One of the beer rounds wasn’t what I ordered. (ordered dragon fruit and got watermelon) it was on the list of beer I wanted to try so I rolled with it…. But getting the beer I ordered would have been nice. I hope whoever got mine enjoyed it.

Only 1 of our 3 burgers came out correctly. (They mixed up toppings) we fixed it at the table, because we didn’t have time to wait another hour for the food.

My “side” of onion rings was 4 rings that were STONE COLD. (See photo) Not even close to worth $3.00.

Fries were limp and cold, but at least it was a full boat of them.

My bacon burger had 1 strip of bacon and a bun that felt someone just pulled it out of the fridge. A good tasting burger patty. But WAY over hyped, small and not nearly worth $11.

Bottom line: $100 lunch for three people and we left hungry and thinking maybe a stop at a drive thru on the way to the track was in order. I’d go again for the...

What a disaster. After reading reviews I expected this to be at the very minimum, a decent meal. The service was horrid. I had to ask two servers for a menu and eventually one of them came around to take out order. No formal beer list on the table either. The ones I wanted were out as well. After we ordered our food. They took forever to get to us. We finished 2 pints while talking, just waiting...

Now onto the burger. Mine didn't come with fries, yet my friends did. We also ordered truffle fries which were rather greasy. I asked for a normal bun instead of the fancy cibatta. I was given a bun that broke into a ton of pieces and was hard to chew. The meat of the burger was not seasoned at all, literally no flavour. All it needed was salt and pepper before being cooked at a minimum.

Next up, we ordered 2 of their sauces. I asked for a chipotle mayo, was assured they had it. Sauces come out and I'm given a chipotle ranch. Server said it's the same thing. That's like saying here's a root beer instead of you'd sprite. Totally different.

Once that fiasco was over, we tried to flag down our server for the bill. Once we managed to get their attention, it took forever to get. Overall...
