Experience was terrible! Started off with a rude hostess experience that just told us they could not accommodate our party of 12. When we asked about being placed on a waitlist, she said they she couldn’t accommodate 12 at this time because they were full. We asked about waitlist again and she said “well I was about to do that.” 45 minutes later, we were seated, and our experience just went down from there. Our server, Natalie seemed very overwhelmed. She offered an alternative to something we were interested in that seemed like a good option, but it turned out she offered what we were interested in, she just didn’t pay attention. This left us confused at the time of paying the bill, to which she only explained she was just a cog in the machine.
We waited for our food for a good while, but only a few people received theirs. Before our food was brought out I was out of my drink. While waiting for the rest of the party to get their food, which took over 30 minutes, our food sat and got cold. We were at dinner together, not separate, so why eat separately?! Food runners came in waves, and explained that our food was rang up under different tables than we were seated at. Imagine how that might cause confusion, but the server just said there were kitchen mishaps. Seems like a server mishap to me, but why take responsibility when you can simply blame someone else? After-all, she is just a cog in the machine. 10-15 minutes after the final person got their food and we began to eat, still hadn’t gotten a refill on my drink. By the way, I had asked…. Natalie walked by a few times and kept muttering under her breath something about needing to go get my water. At least she was aware, but awareness from her brought no responsibility to deliver my drink. I got my refill finally after we finished eating.
We visit the area multiple times each year, and we always eat multiple times each trip at Landshark, but after this pathetic experience, I’m not sure I want to return. If we do, and Natalie is to be my server, or if the clueless floor manager that couldn’t recognize the multiple grown adults visibly frustrated and standing to discuss our disappointment and dissatisfaction are working, we will certainly need to leave. For the prices spent at this restaurant, we should be able to expect a better experience and a better meal. C’mon Landshark, you can do better than this.
Edit 8/5/25: Thank you so much for reaching out. Had an opportunity to speak with Lex, the GM about the visit. He listened well and shared his apologies for the bad experience, and expressed a desire to make the experience better in the future. This has been a restaurant we love to visit when in the area, so we plan to return knowing this was likely an off experience. Because of the goodwill communication and the followup, wanted to raise the review rating from 1 to 3. I completely appreciate the desire to make things better and willingness to learn and correct from mistakes. Thank you for...

Oh boy, folks, let me tell you about our paw-some experience at Landshark Restaurant in sunny Daytona Beach! As a proud Frenchie parent, I'm always on the hunt for dog-friendly places, and this place is the real deal.
From the moment we stepped through the seashell-crusted doors, our four-legged furball, who thinks he's the reincarnation of a French monarch, was treated like canine royalty. They say it's the "Landshark" restaurant, but let me tell you, it should be the "Poochshark" – because they sure know how to cater to our furry friends!
First things first, the staff – they were more excited to see my Frenchie than me! It is truly refreshing to see such sincere excitement from servers who want to make your experience with your best friend amazing for you!
Now, let's talk about the ambiance. The outdoor seating area was dog-tastic, with plenty of shade for our precious pooches. My Frenchie, with his snazzy sunglasses and bowtie, strutted his stuff on the red carpet they rolled out for him. Other dogs were so jealous; they might've even barked "paparazzi!"
Now, for the human side of things - the food and margaritas were chef's kiss outstanding! I could have sworn I heard my Frenchie whispering, "More guac, please!" in his snazzy little French accent. The seafood was fresher than a dog's morning breath, and the margaritas – well, let's just say they had my tail wagging too.
To sum it up, if you're a dog owner looking for a beachfront dining experience where your furry friend is treated like a superstar and the humans get to enjoy fantastic food and margaritas, then Landshark Restaurant in Daytona Beach is your jam. We left with full bellies, happy hearts, and a doggy bag of memories that will last fur-ever.
So, don't wait – leash up your best friend, throw on your shades, and head to Landshark Restaurant, where tails wag and margaritas flow. It's a paws-itively delightful experience you won't...
Read moreHostess misgendered me, apologized, but then laughed in my face.
We were there on 9/11/24 around 1:30 pm. The food was pretty good and our server (Kathy sp?) was great. It seemed she was the only server on duty at the time and she was slammed with over 10 tables but she still took good care of us. The bartender was helping by running food to the tables and she was literally almost running at times. The hostess was missing for the most part and there was one other person with pink hair that may have been a manager because they would just randomly wander out of the kitchen and then disappear again. It is a shame that the place was so short staffed but our server and the bartender really worked hard things functional.
Our problems started when my wife and I went to checkout the shirts on our way out.
Now I’m 62 years old, male, 6ft, 230lb with long hair. It is very, very rare that I get misgendered but the pink haired manager came into the area, announced “Ladies let me know if you need anything” and then ran off before I could say anything. The hostess then appeared and greeted us again as “Ladies”.
I told the hostess that I didn’t appreciate being misgendered, she apologized and then stood there and laughed at me. I told the hostess that I didn’t think it was funny and that I didn’t appreciate her laughing at me. We then left.
It is possible that I was misgendered by accident and that really doesn’t bother me. But when the hostess laughs in my face when I tell her I didn’t appreciate her comments it is very rude and disrespectful. This is unacceptable behavior.
Since your employees think it is funny to misgender me and then laugh in my face about it I will no longer be returning.
To add further insult there was somebody on the porch trying to sell timeshares to everyone leaving the place.
Follow Up: They requested I contact them to discuss things. I did. 5 days later...
