My friend and I stopped in on a Saturday night for a bite. Our server was not attentive. I don't know what his name was because he never actually introduced himself. He had dark, blondish hair that was worn in a ponytail. He came over awkwardly and told us the pizza special, but not the other specials. Then he stood there looking at us. Assuming he was waiting for our order, I told him we needed more time. He returned with plates and took our order. I noticed he'd dropped off a basket of bread to the table beside us along with oil and vinegar. I assumed we would eventually be served some, too. Nope. In fact, we didn't see him again for the rest of the meal. Another server brought our pizza and we asked her for bread. He didn't even stop by to see if we needed anything. My friend went inside to get to go boxes for us and pay the check. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but he was not service oriented at all. I even asked him how his night was going to help break the ice, when he came to take our orders. I enjoyed the margherita pizza. It had a nice crust. I liked the flavor or the Salsiccia e Funghi (sausage and mushrooms) but did not like that canned mushrooms were used. The bottom of the crust was a bit soggy. I am not sure I would return. I have had better pizza and definitely much...
Read moreI would like to begin by saying that I've been to this restaurant a few times and it's been great food and great service. Unfortunately, after my recent experience there I will never be going back. I let my server Candice know that I will be needing a gluten free pizza because I have celiac and immediately she seemed annoyed. I then proceeded to ask her if one of the salads on the menu was gluten free as well. Candice responded by telling me that because I live a 'gluten free lifestyle' that I would know better as to what I can eat and what has gluten in it. She proceeded to go into an entire speech about preservatives in meat at the grocery store and their restaurant being the same standard as what I would normally find in a grocery store in terms of gluten free meat and sauces. The entire thing was so perplexing because I didn't ask about meat, preservatives, or grocery store standards. I was simply asking about whether or not a salad was gluten free. She was the most condescending and rude server I have ever experienced. Upon ending her snarky speech, she finally declared that she "has no idea if the sauce on the salad is gluten free or not". Needless to say I did not end up ordering the salad. After this experience, I would not recommend people with any type of food preference of allergy to visit...
Read moreLast dinner in atl for a while ): A bit sad but overall great experience. The food was solid. The pizza had a good taste to it, cooked well. My favorite part is when the undercarriage has a hint of charcoal but not overpowering and crunchy but soft at the same time. This pizza did that alright. The pasta was alright. A little watery but overall, great flavors and the texture to the pasta was great. I went here with my big. She’s great and overall great atmosphere. I’m sad to leave college but I’ll be back next year. I’m most sad about the people graduating, especially big A. I threw up in his car and he was fine about it. Overall great class and sad to see them leave. But back to the food and restaurant, the service was good. Was not entirely sure what to do at the beginning but we got a seat in the end. Atmosphere was great. The outside was really nice and it was also a nice day out so that helped. My Beli gave it a 7.6 I think which I feel is maybe a bit high. I would give it more like a solid 7.0 round up to four stars....
