My recent dining experience at Sushi Avenue in Atlanta was nothing short of exceptional. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by an inviting and serene ambiance that hinted at the special meal that awaited me. The atmosphere set the perfect tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable evening.
Undoubtedly the highlight of the evening was the food itself. Sushi Avenue takes the art of sushi preparation to a new level. Each piece of sushi is a testament to the chefs' precision and dedication, showcasing their immense pride in their craft. The flavors and textures of every dish were meticulously balanced, creating a symphony of taste with each bite. What truly stood out was the attention to detail in both the taste and the presentation. Each plate was a masterpiece, carefully assembled to create not only a culinary delight but a visual feast as well.
Beyond the exquisite food, what truly sets Sushi Avenue apart is their exceptional service. The staff members were not only attentive and friendly, but their in-depth knowledge of the menu was impressive. They willingly provided recommendations and took the time to explain the nuances of each dish, making the experience enjoyable for both seasoned sushi enthusiasts and newcomers. Their professionalism and genuine warmth added a personal touch that made me feel like a valued guest throughout the evening.
A special mention is deservedly reserved for the kind and attentive young woman with the distinctive puff hairstyle. Her exceptional service added an extra layer of warmth to my dining experience, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the evening. However, it's unfortunate that a negative incident occurred as well. The same server, who had been so diligent in her service, was subjected to unwarranted yelling by a rude 6-foot old man. This unfortunate incident cast a shadow over an otherwise remarkable meal, reminding us that even the most outstanding dining experiences can be marred by inconsiderate behavior.
In the midst of Atlanta's diverse culinary scene, Sushi Avenue shines as a hidden gem. The blend of delectable flavors, stunning presentation, and impeccable service creates an experience that exceeds expectations. Sushi Avenue has managed to achieve the remarkable feat of offering an upper-class dining experience at an affordable price point of just $15, making it an attractive option for anyone seeking a memorable culinary adventure. My evening at Sushi Avenue was a journey of taste, aesthetics, and heartfelt service, leaving me eager to return for another...

Got there this past Friday at prime dinner time. Okay, coming in and waiting to be seated is kind of weird. There is a small little area with a seating bench and a sign that says, "Wait to be seated" but there is no hostess standing there (not like they could) and my friend ended up walking to the stairs to get someone's attention and let them know 2 people were waiting to be seated. We waited for a while and then I ended up having to go to the stairs to let the ladies know there were 2 people waiting to be seated. Perhaps management should have a chime or a camera as to where the waitresses can see when new patrons come in.
Finally a waitress seats us, after my appearance at the stairs, and brings us water. After browsing over the menu I ordered a seaweed salad and the White Roll with no avocado. I should've also ordered 2 pieces of nigiri, but I didn't think about it until later.
The seaweed salad was really good and was what was brought out first. Next, came my roll and I definitely enjoyed it! The fish tasted fresh and the roll was cut into decent sized pieces. Should the roll have been bigger? Nah, it was good for what it was I think. Someone that eats more than me would have maybe disagreed.
Good food all at decent prices and this is not a place that you would over spend for what you get. I would come here again for sure though! These two young men next to us had this course that involved them having soup and a salad to start and then this platter that consisted of various nigiri.... Ahhhh, that looked...
Read moreWent here years ago, decided a few days ago to go back again because I was in the area and I didn't remember if I liked it or not. Well, I should have remembered - not. Sadly.
I love Japanese food and I was so hoping that I would enjoy the Tonkatsu entree and edamame starter that I ordered. It started out well with the miso soup being pretty tasty. Unfortunately, the edamame was not great as it was only lukewarm and tasted as if it had been microwaved from frozen (not to mention that I didn't get any kind of bowl or fish for me to discard the shells - I wound up finishing the soup quickly and used that). While my entree looked pleasing to the eye, it failed the deliciousness test by being bone dry. I'm talking Sahara here folks. Granted, a thin piece of pork is difficult to keep really moist but this? (See the pictures). I ate it and didn't send it back, but only because I was starving and service was so slow that I wasn't sure I'd get a fresh plate in time before the restaurant closed (they were breaking down the sushi bar as I ate). I don't know what the server was doing but he had to be reminded that I ordered a diet Coke, didn't bring me anything to eat with until I asked, didn't refresh my drink and took an absolute age to bring my bill. Many people seem to like this place but I'm fairly sure it'll be years (again) before...
