Boston Pizza Cupcakes — Restaurant in Dedham

Found this place while searching restaurants in the area and thought it looked interesting. The place was casual. Orders are placed at the kiosk and if you're eating in, you take a number and grab a seat and once your order is ready, they bring the food to your table. Although we had a number, they didn't bother looking for the number on the table. Instead, they called out the name on the order. There were some great options to choose from. I'm bummed I didn't get to try the buffalo chicken because kiosk marked it as sold out. Looking at the photos, we thought that the toppings were at the top and in the middle of the cupcake as well but this was not the case. The toppings are only at the top of the cupcake making it seem like there's too much dough. It throws off the topping/cupcake ratio. Not enough toppings. What they should do is have it filled in the middle and also sprinkled on top of the cupcake. Some of them have an indentation at the top where the toppings sit. The flavor was good otherwise. If you cut the cupcake open, the toppings slide down the center because of the cheese and it just looks so good lol. My favorite was the chicken bacon ranch cupcake. We also ordered a pizza which was really good and fresh. It had the right amount of toppings, great flavor, and a satisfying cheese pull 😌🤤. I was super excited to try BPC but the service and interactions with the staff left much to be desired.

I ordered 4 pizza cupcakes ahead online for pickup at 11:30am. When I arrived at 11:05 the doors were still locked. I gave it 5 more minutes and tried the doors again and the doors were still locked so I gave them a call. Phone rang and rang with no answer. I called again and let the woman who answered know I had ordered ahead but the doors were locked. I was met with an attitude and “YOU NEED TO GIVE ME A MINUTE!”. It was 11:15 by then. When a gentleman came to unlock the door, he greeted the delivery man who’d joined me in waiting for the doors to open and ignored me. As I approached the counter, again no hello or welcome, just “It’s not ready and you’re going to have to wait”. I wasn’t expecting anything to be ready before 11:30 so i’m not sure why the smiling face you see all over their instagram was so angry with me 🤷🏻‍♀️. When my food was ready, right on schedule, she handed over my bag and turned on her heels to head back into the kitchen.

All that to say the food was very good. The cupcakes were soft and the filling was tasty. I also ordered the garlic parm waffle fries. They were pretty soggy and sour tasting so i’d skip those the next time.

I’m hoping to visit again in the Spring. By then hopefully the stress of the grand opening month will be past them and service...

So 1st off this place is OK at best. All the 5 star hype and IG kicks are just not worthy.

Let's get to it. BCP was dead quiet at 5 pm. on a Sat. in Legacy Place? Red flags?

Upon entering, we took it all in and got to ordering with 5 in our group and vast taste differences...

Service was fast. Employees friendly.

Tried a small meat lovers deep dish pizza...VERY OILY, ok crust and crunch. Cooked good on bottom.

The "cupcake" pizzas were all chewy dough, no crunch at all. The fillings ranged from good to non existent.

Chix/waffles was a unique concept but fell far short of expectations.

Iraklion was actually my favorite with just the right combo of ingredients to make

Nashville Hot Chix was pretty good too.

Buff chix, chix bacon ranch...blah!

Shrimp mac n cheese... I took one bite that had 2 little shrimp pieces the same size as the elbow mac in it... I went to take picks to show, but that's all there were those 2 little tid bits.

The cucumber salad was just that and the CChip cookie was pretty good.

Better choices on drinks needs to changed and fast as well as the non functioning bathrooms( reviews have shown there out of service for over a month).

Oh yeah look at the pics ALL of the tables had crumbs on them. This place was dead!
