Chopsticks Cafe — Restaurant in Deer Park

The bad reviews are exaggerated. I have been eating at Chinese carryout restaurants all over the US for 30 years. Chopsticks is typical. Some items are very good, others not great. My recommendation, which holds for all carryout Chinese is avoid the items that are likely to have frozen ch8cken nuggets and a crappie sauce. Everyth8ng else is usually good. I eat there twice a week for lunch. Good and very fast.

... and whoever doesn't like the Orange Chicken is crazy, They complain about the meat and the sauce. I don't like the Lemon Chicken... but the Orange Chicken is the best I have ever had anywhere... The meat is REAL meat (I think it is chunks of thigh meat) and I believe the sauce is either homemade or is store-bought with chicken broth added ... either way, it is how Orange Chicken is SUPPOSED to taste - although they need to add slightly more vegies. For those those who prefer chicken breast with a thin bland sauce... order the Lemon Chicken). And the hot and sour soup, a slightly different variation of the recipe.. very...

I dig this little whole in the wall American/Chinese food place! It's my fave. They have the best lemon chicken. That stuff is super yum! The general chicken is always a hit too. Love the fried potstickers/dumplings.! Always get eggrolls because it's not chinese without em. And My absolute favorite part the fortune cookie. So many great memories with my family reading our fortunes together. I have great memories as a child with my family reading our fortunes and with my children as well. Hopefully get to enjoy this tradition with grandchildren one day (hint hint if my grown children are seeing this). I highly recommend yall getting some yummy food there and cracking open your fortune. Share it with friends, family, a stranger whoever!

This is the worst food i have had since moving to Texas. Ordered orange chicken which is a staple of any good Chinese spot. It came out orange and dull looking, had weird smell, and worst of all bad taste and texture. Not sure if the chicken pieces were very little and mostly soggy breading or if the meat is imitation. With each bite couldn't help but think please don't let this be rodent. The sauce reminded me of dirty dish water. Rice is below average but edible. Would not go back. Threw it out after a few bites. Waste of money. I've never ordered food and it be so bad I throw most away.

Service was suspiciously fast which makes me think food may be old and the heated up. I have had street food in third world countries for a third of the price that tasted twice as good.
